When the muddy adventurers (and the ones with clean spells) return to town they are greated with cheers. The group had broken the spell in time to save the years crops, thus averting a famine. After giving them a brief time to clean up and make themselves presentable, a grand celebration was thrown in their honor. Harknail went to the celebration and tried to mingle, but mostly he looked like a big lost puppy that didn't know what to do. He couldn't even join in the drinking of the plentiful ale. [Tag all for your reactions to the party, more details and rewards later. Here's a chance to roleplay without combat preasure ]

Gabe smiles and sits down at one of the tables, gorging on the delicious food and drinking far too much ale, "I haven't had good food like this in a long time!"
An Eladrin with short hair dressed in a sharp leather jacket and leather bodice with far too many wands rods, odds and ends filling the pack on her back and many pouches on her hips stepped up behind Harknail, "Why I never.." She said as she placed a gentle hand on the constructs shoulder plating and began a slow examination of his exterior while she paced around him, "Adamantium rivets, stone overlay, elderwood sinews, cobalt joint connectors... exquisite artistry..." She stopped and stood square in front of him, "Why you're a masterpiece. More beautiful than I could have imagined." She extended a hand to shake, "Raylynn, Artificer. A pleasure to meet you...?" She cocked her head to the side and waited for the warforged to fill her in on his name.

After getting something to eat and drink, Zack will find someplace to sit, and start yacking the ear off of anyone who sticks around to listen.

Thursagan eats and drinks with Gabe, although it takes much more of both to gorge him. He has a satisfied smile on his face, watching how everyone in the group is safe is sound.
He takes a lot of time complaining about the cold, and at the same time telling incredible stories of previous adventures in freezing territories, and how he could survive with only ale for a week. He is happy to have met this group of adventurers, and toast often and loud to the health and skill of each one of us.

Sanem, not being one for large crowds, helps himself to a hearty serving of food, grabs a bottle of wine and tries to find someplace quiet to eat and nap.

" I be glad you find me beautiful, most seem to find me frightening. What be your name?"

Sanem, not being one for large crowds, helps himself to a hearty serving of food, grabs a bottle of wine and tries to find someplace quiet to eat and nap. Sart follows Sanem. She's amazed that no one objects as she gathers food and a mug for herself, just the usual dirty looks that she always gets in town. Sitting with Sanem away from the crowd, Sart reflects on her new life with the people who had wiped out her clan. She felt that she should hate and resent them, but truth be told, her life had never been so good since she became their slave. With plenty to eat and a warm place to sleep. Why they had even included her when they cast some sort of magic to endure the code. No one in her tribe had ever done something like that for her! Realizing that she needed to learn more about those she was living with now that she was the only goblin around, she pulled out one of her bolts for the hand crossbow she had acquired and made a querious sound. [Sart is ready to start language and archery lessons during this down time]

The Eladrin smirked at the warforged and repeated herself, "Raylynn I say. I'm an Artificer, and I've read a great deal about your kind but I've never seen one in the flesh.. Well, in the stone I suppose." The grinned, pleased with her witty remark, "I hail from the Feywild, my family didn't appreciate my... unique talents, and so I've been wandering the world in search of adventure and when I heard a 'man of steel' was about I had to stick around and see for myself." She paused to admire him once more, "Quite a bit of workmanship went into you I can see."

Zynthis pats Sart on the back. In Common "Sart you have earned our respect." then translating to Goblin. Common: "You are now free. However, I would like it if you would join us for future adventures. It's your choice, what do you say?" followed by a Goblin translation.

Sart loyal slave!> Sart knew that she had no chance of surviving on her own. But she just couldn't wrap her mind around being free and staying with the group. In her experience you were either master, servant, or a short lived run away. It would take time learning how civilized society worked before she could understand what Zynthis was proposing.

Harknail knew his speech must sound strange to these people for the simple reason than their speech sounded strange to him. He wondered how long it took for a language to change, but it was just an idle wonder since he knew nothing about how languages change. In an attempt to prolong the conversation Harknail asked, "What talents have thee that your family rejects?"

Raylynn laughs, "They're a very noble people, and they have very strict rules about how things work. I always had a talent for making things you see, and my family history has always been made up of mages. They tried to put me through the academy but I was more trouble than it was worth - so I left, or they helped me to leave." a smile lights up her face, "I've never been happier. Plus I've had Sparks to keep me company."
As she said that a strange device sprung onto her shoulder. It's the size of a large fruit, has two great big beady eyes made of some kind of stone and a pair of antennae which look to be springs with balls of fuzz on the ends. It's just a head, until a moment later it extends two clawed hands on the end of long springs and waved at the construct, it's eyes blinking.

Sanem scratches his head "Shes a friendly little beast, but I can't tell a word that she is saying. Anyways, what does she wa-" At this point Sanem quickly swipes Sart's crossbow upwards as the little goblin nearly shoots Zynthis in the foot. "All right, we need to teach her to use that thing. Can we mix your language lessons with a little archery practice?"

Words like 'Crossbow', 'Shoot' and 'Say' so I can ask her to say things in common.

Zynthis overheard bits and pieces of the conversation of the newcomer. He walks over to their area and introduces himself. "Hi, I'm Zynthis, our group's friendly healer. Did I hear you say your name was Wayne and that you are an artist?"

Raylynn's face twisted into a broad smile and she started to laugh, "No no, Raylynn - and I'm an Art-ificer. Though' it is a form of artistry, if you asked me." She extends a hand to shake, "Group eh? The Heroes of Moonhaven, fancy title."

Something had to be done so we did it." Is it Winterhaven or Moonhaven?

Is it Winterhaven or Moonhaven?[/quote]
It is Moonhaven. Winterhaven is from the back of the DMG (I think) and also the Keep on the Shadowfell module. I edited the posts above to correct the name.

Woops! Thanks Harknail.
"Pleased to meet you as well, Zynthis." She briefly glances at the springy contraption on her shoulder which then leaps to the ground and scoots off towards a nearby table and begins to arrange food on a plate before bounding back to Raylynn with the plate, "So, what are you all planning to do next?" She spoke between bites.
