Update: 1. Laira Elereth turns into mist and moves to G12 as a free action. 2. Laira curses kobold 2 3. Laira strikes kobold 2 with an eyebite hitting 21 vs will (+1 for bonus from Raylynn, -1 from no longer closest) for 14+1+3=18 damage (counting the point of damage from cursing). 4. Laira moves to I11 as a move action (provoking an attack of opportunity from kobold 2, who is marked by Harknail). Laira Elereth now has concealment, is invisible to kobold 2, and will inflict d6+2 damage to kobold 2,3,and 4 on the beginning of their turn.10 When Laira materializes on the bridge, her weight causes the floor of the bridge to collapse. The collapse is slow, perhaps due to the damage done to the control mechanism by Zachary. But whatever the cause, Laira was able to leap to shore before the collapsing bridge dropped her into the stream. As the bridge finishes collapsing it's obvious that it wasn't falling apart, but rather the entire bridge was a trap door. All that was left were the sides of the bridge. But this put Laira between two of the kobolds. Also #2 is marked, but not divinely challanged. He has -2 to hit but won't be punished for attacking others. More unexpected stuff, so another chance to change actions. Fortunately the bridge (trap) missed Laira's reflex. The jump to shore was a free action (missed result). She still has a full turn.

Laira Elereth shifts to I11, curses kobold 2, and then issues a commander's strike to Harknail against kobold 2.
Actually, what is really screwing up all of the times I've declared actions is the whole marking issue.10

Sorry for the delay. Just haven't been able to set aside enough time to run a turn. And now I've tons of misloaded data to fix, so it might be a few more days...10

Are you familiar with "masterplan" as a campaign tool? It may allow you to run things more quickly--assuming that isn't what you are using now.

Are you familiar with "masterplan" as a campaign tool? It may allow you to run things more quickly--assuming that isn't what you are using now. I tried masterplan, and used it to create the first two maps and the first encounter. But it looked awkward and incomplete for combat tracking. I don't think I'll be using it again.
Currently I'm using a text editor for character tracking. A short inititive section and the rest is the status I post. For the monsters I use an rtf editor, with full write ups of the monsters from the Wizards tool. For the map I use a high powered vector plus bitmap editing program, saving it as jpeg straight to the file server. So when I'm running turns I'm using three different programs.
I don't see replacing the map or monster programs anytime soon. But I'm considering iplay4e once it can handle the twice an encounter usage of healing powers.

I recently discovered you can turn your iPhone into a wireless WiFi hotspot. It's great for connecting laptops and iPads.

We are waiting for me. I've been either out or working for days now, with enough time for quick posts but not enough time for running a monsters turn.
But I expect I'll have time later today... While computers are keeping themselves busy finishing the fix I've been working on.

Laira Elereth shifts to I11, curses kobold 2, and then issues a commander's strike to Harknail against kobold 2. With Laira's prompting, Harknail spins and strikes at the kobold behind him. [dice=20] | +8 =21 | [dice=8] | +4+3 =10 |

The kobold cursed by Laira (#2) succumbed to the cold coming from Laira before it could strike. The other kobold next to Laira (#3) was bloodied by the chill but survived to strike once more. He backed away from Laira (to I-9) then stabbed at Laira with his pike but the pike slid harmlessly off of the magical protections on Laira. The remaining kobold (#4) on that side of the stream didn't want to get anywhere close to Laira and the intense cold radiating off of her. At least not to stay there. So he advanced on Laira, tried poking her with his spear quite unsuccessfully, then shifted into a corner (J-12). On the other side of the stream, the kobold that Thursagan had attacked (#6) felt that he had no chance other than to attack Thursagan in melee combat (which was quite true). Even though a dagger is no match for a craighammer, the kobold would have hit if it wasn't for Zynthis's magical shield. The remaining kobolds were still free, but they could see the overwhelming tide of adventurers coming in their direction. The green one (#8) spoke to the other (#7) in draconic <Hold them as long as you can, I'll alert the camp>. That kobold (#7) hurled a small pot at Laira, but missed completely and the pot landed in the stream. Before he turned to flee, the green kobold spoke a few more words to incite the faith of his followers in their suicide mission (granting them temp HP), then used his Orb to send poison gas at Laira. Laira was unable to avoid the poison, fortunately it was a short acting one (12 points poison damage, no ongoing). With that parting blast he retreated into the tunnel. Raylynn drew her longsword and moved into the midst of her group of allies, striking out at the kobold cornered there. Orsik, not standing next to the enemies this time decides to use his more powerful spell to help finish off the creatures. Holding out his hands, fingers extended he unleashes tendrils of icy death towards his foes. Assuming that they are not killed by the time Orsik goes he will use Hands of Radiance and attack 3,4, and 6.Wisdom vs Reflex (3,4 then 6) [dice=20] | +7 | = 19 vs Reflex | [dice=20] | +7 | = 26 vs Reflex | [dice=20] | +7 | = 22 vs Reflex |

Thursagan didn't understood what the kobold said, but his battle instinct tells him that the fleeing kobold is going to bring trouble if not stopped. Ignoring his current target (that may be dead depending on Orsik attack), he double moves all the way to F2 (I think that he can make it with 10 squares, provoking only from 6, right), and then spend an action point attacking 8 with a tide of iron, trying to push him to the water: Attack: Thursagan has low light vision, are there penalties here out of the light range? Does he need a perception check to see his way around the corner?Damage: If it hits, he pushes the kobold to the river at G4 and shifts to G3. Does the kobold get a saving to avoid the fall? The kobold is marked, there will be opportunity / combat challenges attacks if it moves or shifts. There are some questions on the post, please let me know if anything doesn't work out, or is there any options that I haven't foresee.[rand=7777716880664229627646063454449278163244202733049237939789891243]

Laira Elereth answers, "He's going to alert the camp.", turns into mist, flows to E8, runs to F3, curses the green kobold and then blasts him with witchfire (provoking an attack of opportunity from both kobold red 7 and green 8 this turn). Laira is the only one in the group who can speak Draconic. Also just realized that I'm probably going to have change Laira's actions based on how other people's went.. 15 vs reflex for 24 fire damage and 1 normal damage from being cursed (plus geen kobold now has a -5 to attack penalty). [dice=20]+4+1+1+1+1=15 for [dice=6]+[dice=6]+[dice=6]+4+1+1+3=25 fire damage (counting the 1 pt. from cursing him). [rand=29954447088436975797471847073055684384388502469824734627665071034]
