ooc: I don't think we get surges back, just the powers that use them. Also, how much time has past?Llewelyn will observe the drakes if they are waking up. You are correct, you do not get spent surges or daily powers back, but you do get encounter powers back. I'd been waiting for someone to tie up the other two drakes, but just to get things going again, I'll use Dart's first two rolls (assuming that either he, or someone equally bad at it tied the drakes). It's been about 5 minutes, and the drakes are now waking up.
Everyone Let me know what square you want to be in when the drakes wake up, you've had plenty of time to move around.

Everyone Let me know what square you want to be in when the drakes wake up G10 if anyone has actually come to the door, or over at H6 if they are still hiding inside. Who tied up drake 2?Edit: Adding character name: Barbatos[rand=201572997949201829132162028211433152568544095705364807364316099005]

Popol will go to F11. I'm assuming we're going to try and center ourselves to where we can react to any of the drakes escaping with somewhat equal speed. But if I'm wrong and everyone else runs to a corner or something, I will run to that magical corner as well, because I do not want to die alone

Dart tied up #2 after quickly and crudely skinning #1. Harknail is a E10, so Popol has plenty of company.

Tol
After helping to direct the drake tie ups i wandered back over to the #4 drake and summoned my sword. "Calm down gnome, its just in case he gets ugly. Speaking of which does anyone know if we can break the enchantment, or how to turn them into mounts? Cause hanging a stick with some food attached in front of them i really dont think is going to work..." I lean against the fence tapping the summon sword against my shoulder as i waited for the group to decide the current action. "And just for future reference in case we need someone to speak collectively for us, who does it? Cause i'm sure that these farmers are going to love 4 different stories about why we are here."

Romra is washing his hands of wyvern insides. He stands and says " when it comes to who should speak for us it should be someone who can keep their head about themselves, knows how to speak with people, and... whose appearance alone won't frighten them."

Stria stands and faces Llewelyn and points at him.
If we need a speaker I nominate Llewelyn. He seems to be the least threatening looking.
She turns to Tol
If a few of us work together we may be able to dispel this magic that is on these drakes. As for making them mounts, I thing we should ask them first why they are here, or where they came from.
She turns back to drake #3 and continues cooing to it to attempt to keep it calm as it wakes.

Harknail answers Stria, "Blastishy, Tol, and thou be the most persuasive speakers." He seems oblivious that besides himself, they are the most upsetting in appearance. Continuing he asked, "Why should ye not givest 4 answers when asked why we be here? We be here for many reasons. I be here because Norhand the Farmer asketh for help."
Someone might try making an arcana check on a live drake to see the magic before you try to dispell it...

Blastishy goes to the nearest drake and starts to once again study if there is magic within or on the drake of any kind trying to find the exact type of magic and any source of it if possible. [dice=20]+12 arcana check 26. [rand=7007188894785941765385065460577676025451975874625841945968568325]

Blastishy finds the same magic on the living drake as he did on the dead one. A faint residue of a mental transformation ritual, not an active spell. He concludes that whatever was done to these drakes was permanent.

Dart checks the ropes to make sure they will hold. [dice=20]+2 divine challenge and warlock's curse on the tied up drake #4. If it attacks anything else I should be able to knock it out again. "Remember we are not killing them Tol! We are getting flying mounts so we can keep up with them in the air if we need to. We know they are victims. We may not be able to understand them. But we know that much at least. They may be animals and we may be forced to restrain them or hurt them to help them but that is the job of a hero. We kill then without true cause we become nothing but monsters. Keep things in perspective." GM: I'm still having problems with site - unless I actively check up on the site. Which I find difficult. I have no idea that it's my turn or not.[rand=8729687733575702078256968641653669236679486930377013374448288232]

divine challenge and warlock's curse on the tied up drake #4. Barbatos jumps as the gnome begins to scream challenges and dire curses at him ... or ...? Barbatos turns to look for the target of the gnomes ire but sees nothing but the group he came with and the unconcious drakes. Looking back he finds that Dart had already forgotten his divine rage, or whatever that was, and was prattling on once more about how hurting things to help them was the job of a hero. The shouting had begun to rouse the drakes though, Barbatos eyed the nearest one as the gnome tugged and poked at the rope binding it. GM: I'm still having problems with site - unless I actively check up on the site. Which I find difficult. I have no idea that it's my turn or not. (There is no turn order out of combat)

ooc: Dart divine challenge and warlock curse are silent. He activates them mentally with a stare - not by shouting at things - gnomes have great hearing and I've never seen this attack as any different then the samurai's challenge - historically. screaming at something in challenge is a chaotic act - more like a barbarian's rage then a warlock or paladin's challenge or curse. Remember that warning look you'd get from mom or dad? When your pissing them off. That is a divine challenge - the look says if you take that action your going to be punished for a month or more. We've all felt it. Another example would be when your in a room with someone in a really bad mood and just barely holding it in check. In a monks case a challenge would be without a word - just a quiet knowing look. A classic knight's challenge is slapping a person with a glove across the face. So a challenge of any kind will depend on how it's used. GM. Dart has checked all ropes if there was enough time - if I need to make new rolls for them - let me know - if there was not enough time - Dark stays where he is. Dart's silent divine challenge and warlock's curse are saved for the drake he's standing over.

With a grim look on his face blastishy turns to the others. I am saddened by what i have just learned. it seams that not only are their minds truly gone but it is permanent. what ever did this is truly evil and must be stopped.

Popol lifts an eyebrow at Blastishy. "That is bad news indeed. It will be almost impossible to ride an evilly enchanted drake."

Romra grimaces and draws his rapier, putting the point at the base of the wyverns skull tip pointed into its brain. x"uts better to put them out of their misery. Imagin if it were you, your sentience stripped, reduced to less than an animal, basically a zombie being controlled. Would you want to be controlled like that? Kept in a cage or tied in ropes with no hope of ever becoming yourself again, or would you wish to be released into the care of the Elements, or whatever diety you worship?"

That is a divine challenge - the look says if you take that action your going to be punished That'd be an intimidation check.
A divine challenge is the paladin demanding that his target fight him, and only him, face to face, right here, right now, or suffer the wrath of the gods themselves. It's an open and flagrant combat challenge - check the rules, you have to engage (in battle) the target you use it on.
The warlock's curse is more open to interpretation. A sneaky warlock might use a silent, insidious curse. A raging hellspawn might scream foul blasphemy. In dart's case, since he's a paladin, I'd assumed he'd act openly, cursing his foe in the name of his deity which - in this instance - was so far away he'd have to shout to be heard.
Of course there is nothing in the rules that says you can't issue a divine challenge by waggling your eyebrows, it's just ... odd.Listening to the conversation Barbatos chips in, "Are you sure of the magic's intent? If these drakes were bred for war it could be part of their training or creation - perhaps a spell to make them smarter, or more aggressive. Perhaps simply a compulsion to protect their creators."[rand=291456286404552895424420374348720000789335490647968835365007328379244]
