Vadania signaled Ylva to circle around the creature before the and make a flank attack. For her part, Vadania moved up and started slashing, trying to take it down quickly so that they could get past.
Vadania:

Aelos summons up the power of his deity, bringing his weapon down in a glittering arc. The blow clearly stuns the creature but it still stands.
Behind him the creatures two companions charge into the group, one catching Aelos with it's sharp claws. Another creature frees itself from the collapsed corridor behind them and Vadania is sure that there are more close behind.

Ka'lion takes off his pack and sets to book out in the open to the side. "If we don't survive this encounter take the book to a priest of this temple leaders. We are not sure but it may be a clue as to what has happened. There is an entire city full of undead things down there - we however not gotten a look at it yet. Our priest is running blind down there. I'm going back down to help my team. But I need lamp oil. As much as you've got. And two touch small and light enough to be carried in a wolfs mouth."

Ka'lion will take three oils. He then cut strips two feet long out of rope. He wants to leave one every twenty feet. How many does he need?
He'll stop if the party gets to him before he climbs down the rope. What he plains to do is create lit route back.

Vadanias armour protects her as she pushes past, though the group is soon cornered in the room that they first entered - Aelos turns to hold the entryway as best he can.
Looking up Vadania can see Ka'lion and one of Rakes men peering down. There are two ropes and the makeshift harness for Ylva though it will take a few moments to secure around the wolf.

Ka'lion climbs down to put the wolf into the harness, "I'll put Ylva into the harness. You help Aelos hold the door. I'll climb back up and we will pull her up. Then We will pull the two of you up at the same time."

"That will take too long, we have a head start but not much of one. Stay up there and I'll put Ylva in the harness and you can start pulling. Aelos, watch the door and holler when they get close."
Vadania then leads Ylva to the harness and starts putting it on again. Once Ylva is on her way up, she'll evaluate the situation and decide who goes up next.

As Vadania starts to put Ylva into the harness she hears Aelos shout out behind her - the shadow creature from earlier had returned, somehow sneaking past Aelos unseen and was now seeking to drag him away from the entrance as the other creature try to push in.
A crossbow bolt whistles down from above striking the lead creature, though to little effect. Glancing down Vadania believes that Ylvas harness will likely hold if she is raised slowly but that leaves just one rope for herself and Aelos.

The shadow dissipates as the blade cuts through it, while Vadania is unsure if the thing is truly dead it matters little for now.
Behind her another rope drops down as Rake and the remaining men above arrive from above, loosing several bolts at the creatures before dropping their crossbows and pulling Aelos and Vadania from the pit.
The demons, undead, or whatever they are seem unable to follow and slowly withdraw back out of sight of those above.[rand=257885830207833952345809275276424864667475335092324099904724238108]
