I think Barbatos will swap out his ray of frost for illusory ambush - plinking away with the frost ray hasn't proven particularly useful while he has been unable to bring his higher power spells to play. Daily will be Stinking Cloud and Phantasmal Assailant.
First time he's had cash to hand, he could do with a book of draconic words and phrases to help him with his books and suitable reagents and tools as he continues in his efforts to understand and re-energise his stone.

FYI I do not have a 4e handbook. Can anyone give me a link to a place I can read about how to level up my guy?

You can download all the D&D 4e books for free. Just google them. I have the entire library on my phone from doing that.

((I chose the "Villain's Menace" Fighter Daily power, and am wondering if there's a way to make Lizzy able to change shape into another type of weapon. I figure, if I'm going to go fighter/mage, I should be a bit more dynamic with the use of my fighter weapon...))

( i know there is one that can change its form, kind like green lanterns ring, it can only transform into melee weapons so please keep that in mind tho sounds like u would be ok with that anyway. I wish i can recall what the name of it is.)

That would be a Dynamic Weapon. It can change shape once per encounter and then changes back at the end of the encounter (or when you want it to change back). Maybe Lizzie could level up and gain this ability, but she'd loose her hungry weapon abilities.

((I honestly am not using the Hungry enchantment, at all, I don't think. Mainly because it takes away from my ability to use melee for a good while once I DO use it. I was looking through the 5th level Fighter powers, (since I had to choose one of those, rather than another Daily spell), and a lot of them looked really cool, but could only be used by certain weapon types. So I figure that, since I'm trying to be fairly dynamic, I may as well have at least two weapon types that I can switch back and forth between, even just once per encounter. Plus, I'm enjoying the potential for screwing with Lizzy ICly and making her slightly more crazy than she already is... >_> lmao))
((EDIT: I just realized that a spear is a versatile weapon. This means that it can be used one- or two-handed. Also, my tome is an off-hand weapon. Does that mean that I don't even have to switch between the two? Can I just have them both out at a time, and deal 1 less damage with the spear for using it one-handed? ))

Sorry for the delay. Between work and the impending expected storm, have been too busy to apply people's changes to my copy of the characters. I hope to catch up with that started on the next scenario sometime this weekend.

When the group enters town with two Gnoll prisoners, they find there is no guard to turn their prisoners over to. Although it's the largest human settlement on this continent, it is still just a small town. Too small to have a standing militia of any sort. But there are plenty of former adventurers, along with the town mayor who doubles as the town Constable when needed.
Zem's request for a fair trial for the Gnolls is unusual and unexpected. But since the town already has a monster among its number (the only surviving goblin of the tribe that had raised the dead and stolen the towns magic lighthouse mirror), the mayor decides to go along with the request.
During the trial it was discovered that the adult Gnoll had not actually ever injured sentient creature (other than other Gnolls and the party themselves). The women of that tribe were hunters and gatherers, not warriors. It wasn't she was unwilling, she simply didn't have the opportunity. The child on the other hand, had indeed hacked off the leg of the helpless prisoner to use as food. But she had done so under orders from chief. And apparently failure to do so would have resulted in her death, which does provide extenuating circumstances. On the other hand, both had partaken of the flesh of humans and rather enjoyed it. Still, it was decided to give them a chance.
Oris decides to remain behind and keep an eye on them. Unlike the others, dealing with the Gnoll threat had been his primary goal when he joined the party, and as he sees it, that task is not yet finished. He assures Zem that he will not be executing them as soon as Zem is out of sight. But he will be watching them closely…

Zem reassures him that if they get out of line at all and gives him /town do cause to end thier lifes then so be it. At that point they willingly made that call, that would solely be on them to face the consequences.

Zem pays him the equal share oris earned then he lets oris part ways with the party.
Still zem had very little idea in the location of his next task, his hope the map could help.
So do we have a rogue now? What happened to vetch?

Vetch is amused that the town now seems so willing to take in "monsters" when for years he was shunned by this and other communities for his half orc heritage. He decides to keep quiet and hope that perhaps, when his adventures are over, he will have a home to return to.
Sorry all, still haven't leveled my guy, but will get to it. Been very busy!

No problem, I've been too busy to work on this game as well. Hopefully things will be slowing down at least a little bit soon…
As it is, I still need to update everyone else's character and work out what the text scenario is going to be. If anyone has some requests for the next scenario, now is the time to speak up

OOC: Still haven't had a chance to work on the game. But I have the week after Christmas off, so I should be able to update the character records and get a new adventure started by then. That map will help greatly in avoiding sound adventures.

Same here, busy with the holidays. Perhaps we should consider agreeing to start the next chapter after the new year?

Guys, I am sorry but I am going to have to take a break. Over the last ten days my father in law has passed away, and my mother is having a heart procedure done tomorrow. I simply cannot keep up with work and all of the things going on with my family. I apologize, but I have to step away for a few days. Put my character on ice and when things settle down, I will come back and rejoin the fight.
Thanks very much.
Sincerely, Bob (Rhinobullet)

Family has to come first. We'll still be here when you're ready to play again.
