which one of the mini heads is oris? Oris is in O6. If there is some other image you would like me to use for him I'll be happy to do so. I just grabbed the default icon from Character Builder.Map (updates as positions change)

I placed Barbatos behind the cart, where he'll have more cover. Did you want to be in the cart? Behind is fine, he can cover up with a blanket and peer underneath where those standing would be unable to see him. Lack of light will be his problem.

Yes, lack of light is a problem for getting into positions. It's pitch black in the cave, but any light would give you away instantly (the gnolls would see the light and know there's a cave ahead and that they've been spotted). So you're having to maneuver around the cave by feel. But you can tell when you're lined up with the entrance cause you can easily see the gnolls. For example, Oris can see the gnolls by leaning a bit, but has cover for any attack they might make.

The 2 gnolls continue following the trail until they get close enough for their torches to light up the cave entrance. Once they spot the cave they dash to either side of the cave entrance, hiding from those within. Well the gnolls might be out of sight, but the light of their torches is quite apparent. If Harknail had actually been sleeping, the light might have been enough to rouse him.
Vetch circled around the gnolls, staying out of area lit by their torches for maximum concealment.
Anyone want to act at this point, or does everyone want to see what they do next (specifically if they enter the cave)?

Are they on the map?, cause if they are before we decide i would like to know where they are because it kind matters. for if we can get them in attacks on the surprise round then if they roll high for the round after they may just flee. so its a bit unclear to me where exactly they are.

If it is up to me then i think we are going to wait. I know that is a big risk but if we go now and mess up they can book it them moving in is a move so if the double move they are in the open and we can move and attack making it way better for us. I know surprise rounds are always nice but if you fire at things you can only kinda see and miss making them know we are here not the best tactic for us. I just hope this works i could be wrong.

Vetch will crouch just outside the light of the gnolls. He moves closer to the one that is farthest from the part Located at Q10. He will get close to the gnoll, or as close as he can without letting them sense his presence. He will slowly draw his bastard swords and wait for the gnolls to enter the cave.
He will move to Q15

Every one can see the two Gnolls carefully peak inside the cave, seeing Harknail pretending to sleep. They go back behind cover. Vetch can see the west Gnoll wavings the other over. Everyone can see the other Gnoll quickly and quietly cross in front of the cave. Vetch can see the two gnolls have a whispered discussion. Then they start heading west along base of the ridge.
Tag Vetch, he's the only one who can see what's happening.
OOC: This is not a reaction to your plans, I had already decided what they were going to do as part of the scenario design.

When the gnolls move to H9 and I9 to have their discussion, I assume Vetch would quietly move to H14 .

Yes he would. Also, when they head off West, are they heading back in the direction they came from (i.e. returning to base) or are they heading away from the direction they approached the Cave from (i.e. continuing their search)?
