Vadania answers Ka'lion, "Why do you keep calling the device a "sub"? What's a sub? In any case, it's not doing any more damage than a horse and cart. I can easily hide the tracks when I need to, just as I could hide those of the rest of the group. I have no intention of tracking the goblins, I want to spot them in their ambush positions before they spot us. And I'm very good at spotting ambushes. As for getting though the goblins fast, that's what I'm hoping the device can do, scare them off with the fear of the unknown, a death machine that they can't fight. But I can't go along with stealing horses. That isn't a village under siege, it's a merchant camp site. The people there will need their horses to move on to their destinations once they can move again."

"Okay a diving bell but submarine is more accurate. A sub is a large bottle that people can inhabit for travel under the sea. I've seen drawings of them and my grandmother wanted one. They are shaped a bit like a turtle or an acorn from what I remember. The claws on this one is a useful touch because it would allow them to pick up things under the water." said Ka’lion, "You can always return the horses after we are done with them. Or you could set your wolf free and summon an animal companion horse to replace them. He's old enough to mate and should be set free so he can do so. Setting any wild animal free should be something any druid would do."[/b]
Diving bells predate the 1200’s and the oldest subs where built out of wood in the 1600’s. Models and plains of such things I do imagine seeing in a wizards home.

"A sub is a large bottle that people can inhabit for travel under the sea. I've seen drawings of them and my grandmother wanted one." DM warning - your character is not permitted to replace any and all knowledge checks with "my grandmother had one".
This includes, but is not limited to, knowledge of magical items, knowledge of <insert encounter monster here>, knowledge of high level arcane spells, and knowledge of 17th century prototype royal navy submersibles.---------------------------------- Now does Ka'lion wish to travel north with George or east with Vadania ?

Vadania replied, "I've never head of such things. But I think the water would come in the holes if we tried it with this device." She frowned before continuing, "Stealing peoples draft horses would leave them stranded and vulnerable. I can't go along with that even if you do plan to return them later. As for sending Ylva away... She's my friend and companion you don't send a friend away just because a different friend would be more useful."
She put a hand to her chin and thought, "I don't think I can meet your conditions. Perhaps it's best for you to go with George now. That will save you at least a week, plus the two of you can ride one horse. Perhaps we can meet again after we complete each of our missions."

I don't know. It depends on Vandania's willingness to learn to ride a horse. It would help if She would support the tempt to help the barbarians but if it's a either or choice - Ka'lions going after barbarians. They have the information he needs and now has reason to put them first. "Then let's divide any treasure we have and Goerge and I will seek answers."

I had posted the list the way I did as in charcter trades because Vadania may wish to keep as many of the relecs from under the temple as she can. Ka'lion would just sell them otherwise.

Ancient Holy symbol of Pelor (found, beneath clearwater) - I seem to recall this is an artifact tied to the hammer but it was never owned by Ka'lion Lizard Valley treasure was divided up so everyone got something but a lot of it was never used because we don't know what it did. So Vadania should problenly get this - Pelor is a good god and Ka'lion has no intention of becoming good and Vadania claims to be so the artifact may become more powerful if she uses it. He'll offer to trade it for the unused wand and the two crystals from lizard valley. If she wants the hammer that goes with the artifact symbel that's fine with Ka'lion - Trade? Vadania agrees to trade the two crystals and the wand for the holy symbol and matching hammer. She's also interested in the axe head, but has little left to trade for it. She's willing to offer the Oil of Darkness, the Vial of Magical Poison, and the remainder of the Dust of Tracelessness. If he likes, she'll also include her old masterwork hide armor. It wouldn't fit Ka'lion, but it cost her 165 GP when new. It's something he could sell.

Ka'lion suggests they go into the mansion nearby to get out of the rain so treasure still undivided and and unused can be divided up. Vadania answers, " That's fine with me, but I get the impression that George would rather not spend the night in the same place I'm at."

George is in need of new armor if he is going the climb, so he will give gold of equal value to ka'lion if he picks it up in the trade.
" Not true just don't knock on my door or talk to me. don't expect my help in anyway from now on, as in heals in a fight and so forth. If we are attacked here ill do my best as I see fit not how you feel or think. im not a hero remember that and don't forget it. I say we do two or 3 to a room its harder for things to sneak in that way. ka'lion your best on watch just in case, and the rest take watches as need.
I don't hate you that much i can't hate others, But i can make a choice not to help, and i won't. im not your enemy nor your friend at this point."

Ka'lions keeping the ax. It's his favorite weapon and he knows that it has powers related to nature. It's also an artifact but it needed a new handle. It just didn't do as much damage as the hammer. It also creates a good reason for Vandania to need his help in the future. Otherwise she'd just replace him. He also intends to go after the demons but not on their terms. For the hammer Ka'lion wants the wood sword. Vadania has not needed it much as she's been using the fire ward to fight with.
Vadania's armor wont fit George.

Despite a quick search of his possessions Ka'lion cannot find the scarab. Perhaps it was dislodged at some point over the past month, he cannot remember what he had done with it since taking it from the temple and stuffing it into a pocket.
Is the group debating this within the inn or settling their accounts outside? - encounters/etc depend on whether George and Ka'lion travel back north through the night and/or make camp somewhere.

The scarab was never in his pocket. I was always pined to his chest. Pockets get holes.
The group is in the inn in their rooms. Ka'lion and George will leave at first light to make up lost time.

The group is in the inn in their rooms. I've looked back through the posts and the group never entered the inn. George initially walked away but now seems open to the idea of staying, however you are all currently standing out in the rain - which is why i'm asking for actions. I know Vadania and Garrot are staying. If George and Ka'lion leave now i'll open a new thread for them, if not i'll finish up the night at the inn before opening a new thread.

We would of been in the inn. Ka'lion would not of split the coins outside. They would of got lost in the rain. But Ka'lion thinks he knows who stole the scarab. It was the newest party member. She already admitted to stealing her brother cape. Vadania has a party theif on her hands. Before he leaves in the morning he'll ask Gerrot to steal his scarab back for him when they are alone so he wont be over heard. It's possible that Xana stole it but Ka'lion doesn't think so. If Garrot stole it - this is his chance to return it and place the blame on someone else.
This still does not address the resent magic treasures found.

We would of been in the inn. Question to George - do you wish to enter the inn? You originally were the one walking away so it's your call.

( Do to night comming and the rain the inn is best. he still intends to leave with ka'lion come sunup. He will at that point regain spells after he prays. If ka'lion wishes to leave before then he is ok with leaving with him then. George just wanted to get a move on if ka'lion wanted to. )
