OK, time to introduce your characters and figure how they relate to each other. Did your character grow up in Fallcrest, or did they come from elsewhere? Which other characters does your character already know?
All of you have selected races that live in Fallcrest, so that is an option. There are only two families of Tieflings living in Fallcrest, which is why there aren't listed in the description. And of course, any of you might have arrived by boat or caravan, either recently or a while ago. A lot of you are fighters, you could be part of 60 man Fallcrest guard.
Also Fallcrest is divided into Hightown and Lowdown. Hightown is older, richer, and literally higher than Lowtown.

My Character is Aegis Aiphax, Tiefling Wizard. He was born in Fallcrest, but ran away from home when he was 14 to figure out what he was supposed to do with his life, given that his parents were kind of puritanical. Despite that, however, he maintained his personal faith, the worship of Palor (His parents worship a different good aligned god), as well as his interest in magic. He learned he was capable of wizardry on accident, like most wizards, although most wizards don't figure out what they can do by accidentally reading a book out loud and catching their meal on fire. For six years he spent his life on boats, learning how to work on them, and later, defend them from threats. Most of the time was spent on river boats. He learned early on that his greatest asset was, weirdly enough for a wizard, following orders and making sure no one died. He has never been all that strong, but he's been resolute, so he focuses on that, mostly. He only returned to Fallcrest recently, after...well, I think I'll reveal what happened to the Oghma's Kiss eventually. Either way, he's out of the job, so he decided to return home, if only to visit. He plans on figuring out what he's doing next while in town.

Elir is a dwarf from the dwarf mines. uncommon to his kind he had no nack of cutting stone.
He then joined the dwarven army . war and battle hardend him to the point he trusts very few. His older brother is wizard. he was always finding new ways to keep him on his toes ( sometimes quite literaly.) it was then he met biship for his brother had turned himself into a cat. only issue was he forgot to tell elir how to undo it.
seeing it was rare to trust anyone Elir then asked bishop if he could help guide his brother for a time. It was then he meet Aegis Aiphax learning they were a caster Elir knew his brother was in good compony. the 4 of them found a way to restore his brother to normal. yet it was only After his brother learned enough self controll did Elir worry less to let him travel alone. ( still worries about him)
Tho is always willing to jump to aid his brother and to the friends who aided him.

Raised since childhood as a servant of Torm, Bishop served as shrine guardian in his youth and now as adult wanders the land protecting those in need and spreading the word of his god. Never a man of many words but one of considerable stature he is comfortable with the life that fate has chosen for him and views the other adventurers he has encountered in his travels and valuable allies in the fight against any who would lurk and plot beyond the reach of a lone warrior.

I think it might be a jump to say that Elir knows Aegis. He only RECENTLY came back to town, when would he have had time to help Elir with his problem? As much as I'd like for our characters to know each other, that doesn't really make sense.

Since he was a boy, all Shen Nalon had ever wanted to do was join the Fallcrest Guard. His father had died at the Battle of the Downs, defending against the Tigerclaw. Where else did he belong, but defending his people?
The Guard, of course, has certain physical standards for entry. But Shen had a friend stand in for him, and by virtue of a forgetful captain and sloppy bookkeeping, Shen Nalon was now Guard Shen Nalon, Fallcrest's, err, finest.

Excerpt from the diary of Beth Stockmer:
Dear diary, it's been three months since I first took the King's Road here to Fallcrest. I won't lie to you, diary, I do miss the comforts of home a little bit, but I love being so relatively anonymous! Back in Harken Village, everyone knew me as The Baron's Granddaughter. Here, though, there might be people who could recognize Grampa Jonn, but I'm just some girl from out of town. It's refreshing! And exciting! It's a little like being in disguise! Nobody here assumes I'm a dainty little princess who can't handle herself. In fact, they even let me enlist in the Fallcrest Guard! Okay, okay, it's not the glamorous adventurer life I was hoping for...I haven't slain any evil dragons or recovered ancient mystical artifacts like the heroes in my books. But they're training me to fight, and I really am learning a lot. Plus, they put me in the same patrol as Shen! He's smart and he's funny and he's always fumbling with his sword in the cutest way! Also he is SUPER-DREAMY! <3<3<3 (But if he reads this I will totally DIE.)
Hurick has been teaching me how to fight like a real soldier. He said in a real fight, the only rule is to knock the other guy down first. Then he tripped me. I got all angry and I was like, hey, we weren't supposed to be sparring yet! And he said in a real fight the other guy isn't gonna bow politely and say "en garde" before he attacks you, you have to be ready all the time. So I pretended to sucker-punch him in the face, and while he moved to block it, I kicked him in the you-know-where! Bwahahaha >:-D! He said a lot of words that I won't repeat, but then he laughed and said I was catching on.

As a young boy, Lincoln and his friends would play a very simple game: Run away from law enforcement. The rules were quite simple as well: Don't get caught.
Now, as a young adult halfling, Lincoln's game has changed slightly. The basic idea and the rules are still the same, but stealing from the strongboxes of traders is frowned upon compared to stealing a piece of fruit or two as a child.
Lincoln is also a member of the Harken thieves guild. For the last several years, the guild has been the only structure in Lincoln's life. Plans, heists, and robberies just go that much smoother as a member of organized crime.
(I am considering the idea that I was hired by Baron Stockmer of Harken Village to find and return/protect Beth. I can see how this would lead to issues, but I am willing to consider it if the rest of ya'll are cool with it.) EDIT:
Lincoln was recently tasked with his first solo assignment, to find and protect the Baron's Daughter. Interesting how the Baron needs the thieves guild to do this, but no matter as long as the pay is good.

Hurick just got released from the brig. Again. That's the fourth or fifth time he'd won and then abruptly lost a sergeant's commission. But that weasel deserved a beating. Nobody insults the men of the Third Regiment and gets away with it, I don't care if he's some big merchant's son who bought his way out of our custody. So Hurick's been busted down to corporal and they have him training the raw recruits. Some of them look rawer than usual, and given the usual, that's saying a lot. But what these may lack in physical prowess, they make up for in dedication. If they stick by Hurick's training, they just might turn into soldiers after all. Two in particular seem to be eager to prove their mettle. He may give them their chance soon enough. I hear we may be getting orders soon...
Shen's Da' was a brave man who gave his life defending his fellows. I wouldn't be here if it weren't for him. Least I could do was lose that paperwork for his son. All he ever wanted was to be one of us. He may not have the strength, but that will come in time; he certainly has the heart and more than enough smarts.
Beth is proving to be much tougher and more eager to learn than any of the others. I see her in the yard training after everyone else has been dismissed after a day of drills. I was surprised that it was her Grand-Da' who sprung me. Some noble who says I knew his son and wanted me to look out for her. I was expecting a weakling snob who'd get bored and run back home... but this one is anything but. Someday she might make a great officer I think.
Lincoln, I generally don't go in for "my goal is to do something that will sabotage what other people in the party want to do". If Beth wants to be away from home on an adventure, I don't know if that aids her player's fun to have you serving as a foil to that. Let the GM try to foil our plans. We don't need to do it to each other.

Bringing Beth back home would mess with the plot, because it wouldn't make sense for the rest of the party to then follow her back to Harkenwold. Also, I get the sense that it would be out of character for Baron Stockmer to hire a thief for that kind of job--he'd be more likely to send a trusted member of his home guard or something. It's an interesting line of thought, but yeah, I can definitely see issues with it. Aegis ran away from home at a fairly young age--maybe he and Lincoln know each other from the street?

He didn't stay in Fallcrest when he ran away from home. He took the first boat out and that's how he became adept as a sailor.

My thought was that Baron Stockmer was at the end of his rope, and had to go to drastic measures. Perhaps he doesn't care about Beth coming home, but wanted to make sure that Beth was safe, but couldn't send his guard because he didn't want his people to know he was secretly okay with your choice?
Again, it was just an idea. I'm willing to other suggestions, either about this idea or different backgrounds that fit the party better.

Again, it was just an idea. I'm willing to other suggestions, either about this idea or different backgrounds that fit the party better. How about if Baron Stockmer realizes that bringing Beth home again wouldn't work (she just run away again). But he wants to keep her safe, discreetly. A member of his guard would be obvious, and Beth would know that her father had sent someone to watch over her and resent it. While a Halfling rogue could be much more subtle about it. There is still the question of why Lincoln would agree to something like this. Perhaps he had been caught. And this assignment was offered as an alternative to time in prison. Lincoln just happened to be in the right spot at the right time to get this job.

Looks like Hurick, Shen, and Beth are starting in the town Guard (not Militia, those are people with other jobs that are only called on in times of trouble). Lincoln is working on a connection to Beth.
I'm not so clear on the other connections, but if we can get the other characters connected then we would have two groups. I can then send the groups on the same quest using different hooks, and they would hopefully join forces for a better chance at success.

In my bio I mention that Lincoln is a member of a thieves guild, and I also mention that he hold the ideals of the guild highly. So, perhaps Lincoln received a message from the guild with an assignment.

My character could meet Hurick at a bar. They both like drinking.

In my bio I mention that Lincoln is a member of a thieves guild, and I also mention that he hold the ideals of the guild highly. So, perhaps Lincoln received a message from the guild with an assignment. That works. So Lincoln would be a member of the Harken Village thieves guild, being sent on an extended assignment. He doesn't know what the Baron offered the Thieves guild, but he does know his assignment: To find Beth, and then discreetly try to keep her safe. Lincoln is receiving a small stipend, enough to cover modest food and lodging. Since he's in another town he'll need to restrain his thievery else run afoul of Fallcreast's thieves guild. Lincoln has heard rummers that Beth may be sent on a dangerous mission out of town. So if he can connect with some adventurers and convince them to go on the same mission and join forces, this would reduce the risk to Beth. So Lincoln would be the glue to join the two teams... How does that sound?

An Encrypted Letter to the Harken Thieves Guild:
[decrypted below for clarity]
I have made it to Fallcrest safely, and have identified Elizabeth. She has been going by the name Beth here, and appears to have joined the local armed forces. Just my luck, the person I need to protect is actively looking for trouble. So much for an easy assignment. At least she seems capable with a sword, unlike some of the other recruits she is training with.
One of our contacts here recently mentioned that the new recruits might be given an assignment soon. I need to make sure that if Elizabeth is going on this assignment, then I will be going as well. I will contact some other adventurers in town and see if we can tag along on Miss Stockmer's next assignment. It seems that a cleric and a barbarian are in town. Maybe they are looking for work. I'll contact you again if there are any important updates.
May the Shadows hide you, -L
Hopefully this goes without saying, but this letter will be delivered through my Criminal Contact back to the Harken Guild.
Thanks to all of you that helped to flesh out this character's backstory so far.
