" The druids were going to war?" asked Vadania, " Who are they fighting? The demon?" Altar shakes his head, "one another. From what little i've heard the Eldeen rose up against the others. Rumour has it that they've destroyed the Hollow."" Why would they destroy a town of barbarians?" wondered Vadania out loud, not really expecting an answer. She continued, " The fell is changing, and not in a good way. I don't know how the release of the demon is connected to this, but I suspect that it is." She asked again, " Are you able to read books written in old and forgotten languages?" OOC: it looks like the others have finished their shopping, and Vadania hasn't even started… Of course, she's more likely to simply accept whatever is offered as a reward since she doesn't have anything in particular that she's trying to get.

Ka'lion need's to see if he can recruit the masked druid for the party, that will give us more information about the druid war and some help sneaking around and he gets along with her. Other then that he needs to check up on his horse, buy magic arrows, some healing potions and then he's done and he needs to introduce Vadania to Brennen and visa versa. The question is what was Vadania'd plain next? He has no idea. He thinks the wolf may be a former great druid and he still wants to create peace between the factons.

"Hmm...they're okay, but they don't have very many charges, and they wouldn't improve my accuracy at all. What else have you got?" says Brennen.

Altar confirms that he has knowledge of ancient languages, though indicates he will need time to prepare. He has no more information on the events to the west as he had travelled direction from Burr Town to Clearwater after they last parted ways, but he does confirm the rise of a new and powerful tempest in Burr. Elsewhere Kreed, the merchant, searches his stock, "accuracy?" Clearly the man had little experience of dealing with warlocks, but in time he pulls out another pair of gloves and a pouch of some sort. Indicating the gloves, "I knew a man who swore by these in archery contests, until they changed them to be the best of three shots. Very lucky gloves, very good accuracy yes?" Indicating the gloves, "well... I don't exactly know what this is, but you'll not find a nicer one. Shaman said it was strong juju, contains actual dragon."It's a leather pouch on a string, but it is definitely magical. Ka'lion need's to see if he can recruit the masked druid for the party Ka'lion knows she isn't a druid (he asked her at the time). Aldreda and Beren, the last he saw of her she was heading north to the Hollow before its destruction. She had snuck into the forest while the druids were occupied to look for an ancient magical tower but Ka'lion mentioned that he had seen just such a tower outside of the deeper fell to the east. He catches up with Beren, the shadowy grey worf, watching the collected mages and warriors from a vantage point. Beren turns as he approaching, speaking in his usual slow gravelly voice, "I know you, smell you, the small man from the forest. You bear the scent of the mages, were you always their ally?"

Ka'lion chuckles, "My family are wizards and adepts if that's what your asking. We heal injured wildlife we find needing atention back home. That's for retirement. Wizards spend most of their time reading - so it's an older persons fate because they need a little extra help doing things.
You don't see a lot of young wizards. It takes time to learn everything. My family believes to better understand others we need to walk in their shoes. I have just two alliances. To my heritage and my family and to my party. I had one more but they are now largely extinct.
But I don't take sides in conflicts that should be set aside for the greater good and I don't use war as a way to force others to my way of thinking. From the beginning I've been a reluctant hero that helps when I can but I intend to maintain my neutrality and alliances let others decide your fate. I fight so I can have a family someday and will have my own stories to tell. So are the druids still at war or did they decide to try peace?” asked Ka’lion, “ Did Aldreda find the tower?”

The wolf regards Ka'lion with an expression he finds difficult to read before continuing, "No. The druids sent a great wyrm to the Hollow, and those you call Ibix-ian" He speaks the last word slowly, the word not easy for him. "We evaded them, killed those we could not. And then we came here."
He turns back to watching the mages but adds, "we did not expect you to succeed".

"I didn't. I was told the wyrm was killed by the barbarians king before his death and the survivors of the ibaxien attack was on the run and fleeing from the ibaxien herding them last time I saw them. I did encounter both of the factions scouts, a centaur and a boy with a giant eagle called Mouse and a large red wolf. Both sides tried to recruit me. I said no. I guess they are hoping I'll change my mind. I haven't." said Ka'lion

Or rather just those sections about that particular summoning circle, I don't need the entire book translated though you're welcome to read the entire book if you wish."

Altar states that he will need a night to prepare the appropriate spells, though it would help to review the book ahead of that if there is a place that the mages cannot easily observe. Brennen identifies the gloves and the pouch. The glove gives it's wearer a second chance at an attack, but only once each day. The pouch is a charm against evil giving a bonus to attack any of that alignment (+1 competence) as well as the effects of favoured enemy against them.

"I imagene my party can use some help right now. You can see my druid captain. But I don't know where we are going yet. But if your looking for work. I'm sure we can find enough for you." "I obey Aldreda" states Beren matter of factly, giving no indication of where she might be. The merchant accepts Brennens trade while Vadania and Altar make arrangements to study the symbol under moonlight. The old Fane was one possibility to get away from prying eyes, though dangerous. Moving on to the matter of the demon Altar repeats what Eldon had suggested of the map to Vadania, the marks of the old kingdoms of the desert to the east as the next prison for its allies. "As Eldon had feared the library here has been ransacked, though it has at least survived intact. The kingdoms show here represent kingdoms almost lost to memory but someone in the east is bound to recognise them or hold records of their acts, some clue as to the demons next goal, if he has not already reached it."(possible new player on the way, no ETA)

OOC Assuming we each had our own room. While willing to help against the demon, Vadania is reluctant to leave the fell that she guards. Besides, Ka'lion is sure that to fight a demon is folly, even though we just defeated one. This means that others will need to head east while she and her friends try to improve things here. Perhaps she could convince the others to retrieve the sword from the tomb of the Lizardman valley. We ran from the skeletons that time, but we could prepare for them this time. She'd want to talk to someone who knows about skeletons and how to destroy them before she did that though. In a

Where does Ka'lion wish to go? There is little that he knows of within a days ride from here save for the fane, the underground passage, the old blasted tree where he arrived here from the underground portal, and the crypts. Further out is the collapsed tower but Ka'lion has spent little time in this area of the fell.
