"Not pay share, pay gold"

"Gold? I don't work for gold. Most of my party doesn't. If you want gold. We can pay you in gold. Most my party want gems, silver, coppers, platnums and magic. So I think we can work something out." says Ka'lion thinking if it doesn't work out. The party would be only facing one ogre. One that's fully dressed so he's used to getting what he wants. But Ka'lion has no problems paying in gold. We just don't fine all that much of it.

"No. If your stupid enough to attack a god. Your not any use to me." says Ka'lion, "You want gold. You'd need to earn it. And you have done nothing to do so."

"Gods big. You puny. Gods not pay gold. Noonan say you stupid one"
And with that the ogre advances, weapon at the ready.
[Roll init]
Well it was a good try. Ogres may be a bit thick but they are also cunning, greedy, not fond of being called stupid, and the followers of Grolantor in particular are rather stubbornly anti-social.

Ka'lion init +6+rollBuY9ugvvp_1-20=15
Ka'lion didn't care about the gold. He was just a bit concerned about the ogre stealing his or the parties gold. That would create problems. "You kindly get an honest chance to make a real living and blow it. You are stupid. I was thinking about teaching you how to be smarter. Ka'lion waits until the ogre gets with in 25 feet and casts ray of enfeeblement - ranged touch attack. If I hit no save - you said he was big - he should be easy to hit.

Please keep in mind str drain reduces the attackers chances to hit you and the damage they can do. I'm going to hit him with the same spell 2 more times.

Letting out a bellow and breaking into a charge in response to Ka'lions magic bringing his hammer, its head a lump of carved stone held within an iron frame, down upon the barbarian in a powerful arcing swing (23 damage). Ka'lion can see that the creature has quickly worked itself up into a killing rage.
Over the ogres bellows Vadanias keen ears can just about make out more calls and sounds from the mill house.

Brennen uses baleful utterance on the ogre's hammer. (DC 15 Will for the primary effect, DC 15 Fortitude secondary.) He toggles on his darkness effect to give 20% concealment to himself and Vadania.
Tink also takes one of Brennen's darkness stones and carries it about 20 feet from from Ka'lion, so that he is inside the area and the ogre is outside it (so concealment for Ka'lion, but no concealment for the ogre). Then she casts faerie fire on the ogre.

Ka'lion has damage reduction -3 from hammer. Also keep in mind the weight of the ogres equipment - will move to heavy very quickly with Ka'lions strategy. But we are dealing with a barbarian ogre. that's scary.

Brennen attempts to shatter the hammer, but the stone and iron weapon is far too massive for his magic to affect (1 lb per caster level)The ogre seems oddly unphased by the darkness. Perhaps just his enraged state. [Tag Vadania/Ylva]Ka'lion has damage reduction -3 from hammer. Bladeproof skin is DR3/bludgeoning - no protection against a hammer.

It's 10 lbs per caster level, not 1 lb per caster level. Ah right, reading the wrong line of the spell. The ogre managed a 15 on his will save (and a 22 on his fort), what is the DC of Brennens invocation?

With a gesture from Vadania, Ylva charges into the frey and tries to fell the ogre while taking a bite out of it's leg.
