"I swim for fun. Back home water is scare. You learn to enjoy it. Even if it's cold. I grow up swimming n water created from walls of ice so colds normal for me. Now lets start by laying on your stomach. You won't drown. I'll hold you up." says Ka'lion

George goes onto his back.
" This seams odd being on ones back but then this is not land nor in the trees and since im learning there must be a reason. Why is important to on ones back again? "

"Floating on your back can prevent you from drowning if you get tired swimming. But I told you to swim on your stomach." said Ka'lion helping George turn over correctly.

George can roll swim to see his initial success in the water - there is no real danger in the shallow pool short of a sudden panic attack.
Does the rest of the party wish to continue with their search while George and Ka'lion paddle, or do they wish to give up for tonight and make camp?

Let's try a sweep with detect magic and roll some Search checks.
Brennen Search: zLuU9LEdp_1-20+3 Tink Search: p_1-20+11-201-20

Does Tink feel up to looking for anything interesting in the lake by herself? We thought nothing can hurt her, but recent experiences have shown that not to be true. If She finds anything, Vadania is willing to go with Brennen tp retrieve it.

Nothing nonmagical can hurt her. She can still get hit by magic, although if it's not a force effect, it has a 50% chance of dealing no damage, and she has high AC and improved evasion making her pretty resilient against most stuff.
I like sending her to scout out the lake, at the very least to get an eye for the terrain. Mundane wildlife shouldn't be a concern, and she can keep detect magic up to look out for magic effects or traps. Perception skills are cross-class, though, so if she doesn't see anything, take that with a grain of salt.

The figurehead is definitely magical and magic from the boat beneath can be sensed even from the surface, both strong abjuration and transmutation, but there seems to be nothing else remarkable about the clearing here that Tink or Brennen can see.

Okay, how about an identify on the figurehead and Spellcraft checks for the boat.
Brennen: SoiOFJ6Hp_1-20+13 and p_1-20+13 Tink: p_1-20+11 and p_1-20+111-201-201-201-20

(assuming the rolls are for spellcraft on the figurehead and boat in that order)
Brennen is unsure as to the magic he can see from the boat, or what is left of it, below the surface. The power seems to be mainly focused about a metal or stone structure built around the mid-point of the ship and is akin in some superficial ways to the magical aura of a golem. He can make out several particularly bright points of conjuration/enchantment magic on the structure but not the magic that they hold.
The party has to drag the figurehead out onto dry land in order for Brennen to complete his identification of the object and evening rolls in as the group inspect the full thing. Brennen determines that it is only part of a larger item, presumably the ship, but the figurehead itself can be called upon to control weather, albeit in a more restricted fashion than the true spell. It's most powerful aura is that of conjuration and relates somehow to the ship below. Brennen is able to determine that it is not animate nor capable of independent action.
Physically the figurehead weighs almost 200lbs and appears to have taken a severely damaging blow from something with large claws - a dragon perhaps. It appears that it was removed from the ship carefully though and not as a direct result of the impact. It's appearance is that of a sylph, though human-sized.

Ka'lion thinks it confirms his guess. flying would be a weather spell he thinks.

Vadania thinks that this proves Ka'lion's guess was way off the mark. But a weather spell that could control the winds would be of great advantage to the sailing ships she had heard of, perhaps allowing them to sell upriver.

By himself? I'd think he'd need a LOT of help for that.

Ka'lion will dig out the magic boat and bring it a shore It's a full sized sea-going ship, or rather what is left of it. While partially buried Ka'lion would guess it's length at upwards of 50m. Dm do i need to make a swim roll or because i dont have the skill is it untrained i dont think i can roll unless im trained. Yes, you can roll untrained. A roll of 5 or less indicates that George has had trouble, though the pool is small enough that he can clamber out if he doesn't panic and either flail around or wander into the path of the waterfall and the deeper water. A simple DC10 will save (if he fails his swim check) will do.

I am getting confused - I thought you said the figurehead was near the cave and the ship was in the middle of the lake and under the figurehead was a magic boat.

Right on figurehead and ship, but no boat under figurehead. Both figurehead and remains of ship are magic. Magic on remains of ship may include magical traps.

Actually dm i forgo both rolls : i feel i would like to demonstrate a viltal point here to do so i feel george starting drowning would be a clear example needed.
Basically we jumped out of a sean without waiting for me to respond. Hence him starting to drown when he teacher ups and leaves without telling him.
George goes under and has not been seen above water for a bit ( dms discretion on time wise)
