Barbatos looks around at the cave, "perhaps miners, slave labour. Don't be too hasty to blast the first thing that moves."

The group resumes its usual formation for moving cautiously through tunnels, and investigates the sound. The last tunnel leads to what appears to be a work room. Insider shells filled with parts, some workbenches, and an Iron Cobra (although it appears to be inanimate). Also there are 2 goblins appearing to be working on the Iron Cobra, one male and one female. Both appear to be emasculated, like they haven't been fed since capture, with the male being in worse shape than the female.

As the group approaches exploit the goblins look up from their work and the female goblin asks, "How did you get past the dragon?"

" He is dead, we are here to free you. First things First I need to heal both of you.those cobras are dangerous and crafty fighters so we need to be sure there are no more.

I get you were forced into making them for the dragon.

Tho now you should make one or two to protect your home when we get back.

Zem offers them his food and water skin.

OOC: The goblins are not wounded, only starved.

The female goblin speaks up, "This cobra is almost, but not quite finished. The dragon has us assembling these Iron Cobras for him. But he doesn't feed us, just eats us when we stop working and then gets in a replacement. You wouldn't happen to have any food you can spare, would you?"

Looking around the room, you can see another pool of water, plenty of metal parts, but no food.

Zem offers them all his food and water skin.

" Please eat i can tell you need it. Well you both did quite a quality job. We faced 4 and they were well coordinated, it is a mighty tallent you both have. I am sorry you were forced to. But you both have quite the skill.

Barbatos looks at the cobra, "do you know how he commands them?"

The goblin man was too busy wolfing down rations to answer, but the goblin woman (in better shape), answered, "Yes. The last part of finishing the Iron Cobra is to attune it to someone. Then it will follow the commands of whoever it is attuned to. "

To Zem she responds, "Thank you Zemerious, I am Flerx. How did you get past Mornontormarux? His senses are very keen."

Harknail ansers, "Mornontormarux be dead. we hath slain him."

Flerx looks at the group with awe. "You killed Mornontormarux?"

Flerx replied, "Could you wait an hour before leaving this place? This Iron Cobra is nearly finished. If you give me an hour I can finish it and attune it to you."

" O yes of course i just did not know if you wanted to finish it or not. I am greatfull for your offer of the gift, please know i dont mean to reject such a gift but i wish you atuen it to yourself. It will put my mind at ease knowing it will protect you. Its kind as well as generious to offer it to me tho. I know you will make a fine master for it.

Would it be ok if i watch you work or would that distract you?"

Flerx replies, "No. No. You're watching won't be a problem. Do any of the rest of you want an Iron Cobra?Ï"

"I would like very much to know how they are made" states Barbatos, offering up some of his supplies, "did the dragon give you instructions himself or a guide to follow? Is there some key component that cannot be replaced?"

Flerx answers, "There is a book with instructions on how to make an Iron Cobra. It is quite complete, with instructions on how to make these parts, as well as instructions on how to assemble the parts. Since the ports were already here, we haven't needed the instructions on how to make the parts themselves. The hard part is the last step, casting the ritual that activates the Iron Cobra and binds it to someone."

" Well as a Cleric i know ritual casting quite well. Im willing to teach you if you want. "

Barbatos will inspect the book, and asks where the dragon keeps its reagents for ritual casting - while he carries a few of his own he imagines the binding spell for these things would be costly.

Flerx points to the spot in the shelves where the ritual components are kept. She says, "I know how to cast rituals. I was hoping to come back what supplies to finish the last half-dozen Iron Cobras."
