Barbatos sets about his task with the sword, commenting to Harknail, "It's been a strange few days."Harknail replies, " This city be strange. I be remembering it as good-sized human city. Now it be small town built from ruins of old city, filled with what I be thinking be monsters." Harknail shrugged before continuing, " But they not be acting like monsters. I know not what to do here." So which power does he pick? He's a wizard, he gets to pick two at a time both doesn't he?You are correct. I had forgotten that the spell book applied to utility powers. and the character builder for some reason separated the new power slots so I thought it was only adding 1 power slot. Barbatos is now updated to level 6.

When the next morning rolls around Zem will go down in his pj's and bring back up to his girlfriend breckfast in bed. After they eat they get ready for next adventure.
As they sit at the table with
" So do we have a plan on where we are going next?"

"We've seen very little of Sarnath so far. Perhaps Flerx or one of the other goblins here would recognise a landmark from the diary"Barbatos is now updated to level 6. Doesn't appear to have worked on the moonhaven iplay4e page. I have updated the kman character sheet though.

" O right but before we do we should fill her in as to what we are looking for and why its important to look for it.
There is a hidden powerful object that from what we know of could cause a lot of distrution in the wrong hands. I know some badguys are looking for it as well i have not seen them much but it does not mean thier not on the trail still. We need to be carefull and get to it before they do to keep it out of thier hands. We have had some clues and some led us here. Maybe a fresh pair of eyes will see something we missed."

Barbatos is now updated to level 6. Doesn't appear to have worked on the moonhaven iplay4e page. I have updated the kman character sheet though. Too many copies of the same characters floating around. I updated the Character Builder versions, and saved those to my laptop, but I forgot to upload the updated characters into Iplay4e. This has been done now, let me know if anyone doesn't see their changes on the Moonhaven campaign page.

The innkeeper advises Zem, "There was an elf here asking around for the group that killed Mornontormarux. I didn't tell him anything, but I did get where he was staying if you want to talk to him."

" Elf you say, interesting where did he say he was staying? and did you get perhaps his name or a discription?
We can at least see what he is like. But we wont say why we are here.
To him we killed a dragon im not sure i like we are making a name for ourselves but it is what it is lets just say im not use to it.
I feel we should all go speak with him, and show a united frount. Tho Flerx and i ate already. Hark i know you wont need anything i think im finaly getting use to that.
Stravanya and Barbados have you ate yet?. "

After Stravanya and Barbatos answer (remember that the innkeeper is not charging you for food), the innkeeper answers, "The elf's name is Luthan. He looked kind of pale, even for an elf. And he had dark circles under his eyes. He was wearing hide armor and carrying a long bow. He's staying at The Goblin's Barrel. Their sign is a barrel with a drunk goblin sticking out of it."

Our first priority should be finding residents that might know more about landmarks from the diary, but if someone is looking for us we might as well know up front what he wants. We should go over there now.

Stravanya says this over a nice rare slab of steak. As a razorclaw shifter she is quite fond of meat.

"I think something a little lighter would be to my taste", notes Barbatos. Weeks of eating flame-grilled drake and salted travel rations a little fruit and fresh bread would be a welcome change.

Flerx leads the way to The Goblin's Barrel. As they enter an elf rises to greet them, "I am Luthan. Are you the group that slew Mornontormarux?"
Luthan is wan and pale, with dark circles under his eyes. His hide armor and longbow seem ill cared for. His voice is deep, slow, and ernest. Everyone in the group can tell, this elf is desperate for help.

" We are but you need something to eat, your eyes say you need sleep and i think your journey did you no favors a long the way.
Im not sure how fast the news of us killing the dragon were i figured the city knew but you dont look like your a local. My i ask how you came to find out that the dragon was slane ?
Also if you have a job for us we are willing to hear you out on what it is. Yet i feel your health is at great risk hence my previously mentioned statement. As a Cleric its my job to tend to others well being and right not you dont look to be in best condition."

Luthan explains, "I was already in town looking for heroes and adventurers when word spread like wildfire that Mornontormarux had been slain. I searched the town trying to find you, but now you have found me. My tribe, the Graythicket Elves, is much in need of your help."
He elaborates, telling his story, "Not long ago, an owlbear appeared in Graythicket forest. It went on a deadly rampage through the woodlands, driving out all other predatorsbefore claiming a barren stretch of land on the edge of the forest as its own. Despite their best efforts, the Graythicket drive were unable to drive it out. Despite a general respect for all life, the Graythickets decided that it would be best if the owlbear was destroyed. Unwilling to risk any more of their warriors, several of whom have been killed or injured by the creature, they spread the word that they in need of aid to hunt down the owlbear."
"I was a member of the first group to respond, a band of adventurers who called themselves the Shevverim. I had join them after I left the Graythicket to seek my fortune and the wider world. When I heard of my tribe's trouble's, I returned to lynn my aid accompanied by some loyal allies. Unfortunately, the angry owlbear proved too canny a foe, and two of my friends became its next meal. The rest refused to consider fighting the beast again and left. I remained behind end traveled to surrounding communities in search of other adventurers who will rid my tribe of the menace."
"The first takers I found were a group of roguish kenku mercenaries. Led by a scruffy scoundrel named Atatakk, the kenku were curiously eager to pursue the owlbear. But their enthusiasm apparently didn’t serve them well against the beast, as they never returned. I scouted the area after they failed to report back, and saw only some scattered black feathers near the owlbear’s lair. No other sign of the kenku remained."
"Discouraged, I redoubled his efforts, and succeeded in finding three more groups willing to engage the owlbear, whose legend had grown among the local communities. But each of the groups I sent failed to return. Further scouting missions didn’t even turn up sign of their clothes or belongings."
"The ravenous owlbear has begun hunting further afield from its claimed land, causing the Graythicket tribe no end of problems. I admit I am getting desperate, as my tribe’s hunting grows more difficult with each passing day. It is my hope that someone who can slay a dragon will have no problem with an owlbear."
The entire group being insightful, they can tell that Luthan does not seem to be holding anything back, having freely told them about all the previous failed attempts to deal with the owlbear.
