Shamious will use the at will light spell in the ring george gave him and give it to george to light the way.
George will then cast sheild of faith on ka'lion, then move to take shamious place. That way he does not need to cast definitely.

George shores up Ka'lions protection as the zombies continue to try and push in, though ineffectually as both Ka'lion and George have faced far stronger opposition of late.
As the pair continue to strike at the heads and arms of the zombies they catch sight of something crawling rapidly into the room between the legs of their undead attackers - hundreds, perhaps thousands of spiders biting at the party and carpeting the ground beneath their feet.
(the bites of the spiders inflict only minor damage - 1 point to Ka'lion, 2 to Shamious, and 4 to an unfortunate George - however all characters must make a pair of DC11 Fort saves, the first to avoid being briefly nauseated by the swam, and the second to avoid poison damage)
(Shield of Faith adds +1 to Ka'lions AC - he already has 2 points of deflection from his cloak)
[Tag all, Shamious still feared]

Ka'lions fort save - is +8 -1 con+roll FRpk|Nt0p_1-20= 18

Danny just a note: spider swarms allways hit for d6 + poison( I use them in my games all the time when players try to make their AC's to high: so don't be surprised by it.) - this is going to get bad quick but it akso means they should be doing some damage to the zombies as well. Ka'lions blow nearly fells another zombie. George can see that another strike would probably finish it but the combined threats of holding the door and the swarming insects threatened to overwhelm the group - someone needed to focus on holding the door so another could deal with the swarm, or Shamious needed to get back into the fight, or... something. As travelling companions he trusted both Ka'lion and Shamious, but as adventurers their mistrust of others had left them ill-prepared for those dangers that their allies had previously been expected to deal with. it akso means they should be doing some damage to the zombies as well. The swarms attack everything not just opponents. Everything in their area anyway, the zombies are stuck outside as they can't push past Ka'lion and George.
Ka'lion needs a second save (it's two each - one for the poison and one for the generic swarm distraction rule)

GM - you destribed the spiders coming into the room throw the legs of the zombies and Ka'lion and Goerge are in the same area as far as the spiders are concernd. The zombers are attacking us unarmed which puts them in very close contact with us. Goerge we still need the zombies room lit up so we can see whats casting spells at us?

Protected by his bladeproof skin Ka'lion continues to focus on the zombies, unaffected by the spiders save for some light scratching. Light is only a 20' radius and Shamious is at the far end of the room - once he moves forward again (or otherwise throws the lit object ahead) he will illuminate the corridor beyond.

Before we where hit with the with the swarm - I'd of agreed with the GM - we didn't block the door but if we had - we would of died from the swarm attack - we need a fire ball is whay we need! - it would deal with the spiders and zombies.

( Also i fail to see how we were ill prepared as a team.) Ah ok, I had missed that bit.As George steps to the front he can make out an ethereal hooded figure beyond the zombies, motioning as if casting a spell. From the shape he said human or human like, and while it seemed like another ghost he did not feel the wave of dread and weakness that emanated from the first. Just character/'fluff' text. Many of Georges or Ka'lions recent allies have either been potent spellcasters or murderous warriors, and alongside them he had emerged from far more dangerous encounters than a few simple spiders and zombies. While had and Ka'lion could handle less numerous opponents such as the slow-witted gargoyles on the top floor their mistrust of others and subsequent lack of allies had left them vulnerable to things they would either not have previously considered a threat, or not considered the need to prepare spells to combat. Before we where hit with the with the swarm - I'd of agreed with the GM - we didn't block the door but if we had - we would of died from the swarm attack - we need a fire ball is whay we need! Burning torches, elemental weapons, and area effects will suffice - they are mundane summoned spiders as per the level 2 spell.
And of course turn undead - George got unlucky with his first roll but even with the necromancers efforts to bolster his undead he's no match for a 7th level cleric

Luck has rarely been an ally to our party - which is why Goerge over defends himself and Ka'lion doesnt worry about it most of the time. Ka'lion just assumes he's going to get hit. A mage armor spell would help perhapse but Ka'lion would rather have bracers of defence - they are lighter then armor. And Ka'lions sword
"Goerge, cast a create water on us and the zombies. I It should wash the spiders away and I have an idea. Let's see if my sword can freeze all of us? suggests Ka'lion

Action still on George/Shamious - with the light at front he can make out the immaterial spellcaster beyond the zombies calling the shots.
To his side Ka'lion is suggesting summoning a torrent of water. George can also see that the zombie that faces his companion is barely standing and despite his earlier lack of success feels that attempts to turn this group would succeed if only he could summon more power to overcome that of their master.

bad miss but at least not nat 1...
It fires off into the darkness missing its target by a mile.

George will try to turn undead one more time if it fails we go to option b)

The wave of zombies retreats back into the mansion taking the shadowy figure with them (AoO for George and Ka'lion against the front-most zombies). They don't move quickly and are pushed back towards the stairs by Georges magic.
Within the room itself the spiders continue to swarm and bite at any exposed skin they can reach (3 damage Shamious, 2 damage George), with George beginning to feel a little light-headed from their poison (1 point of strength damage)
(same thing again, two fort saves each for George and Shamious, just one for Ka'lion as his DR prevented damage from the bites of the spiders)
[Tag all - zombies have fallen back 30 feet]

Ka'lion casts create water on himself trying to wash the spiders off and uses his sword to freeze the spiders. He figures the cold from his bid might kill them.

The volume of water will be enough to stop the spiders reaching Ka'lion next turn - though he does still need to make his save for this turn in order to cast.
Is Ka'lion casting this as a 1st level wizard spell (enough to protect himself for a round) or a 4th level druid spell (enough to briefly wash the spiders away from everyone) ?

Druid. Wizards can't normally cast create water. Saves (you didn't need the second save as Ka'lion didn't take damage - in any event he is unaffected by the spiders this round)Ka'lions spell scatters the spiders. While not enough to wash them away entirely it will take the swarm time to reform. [Tag George/Shamious - failing a save for the nauseating effect limits actions, failing the other is just poison damage]
