No response. George doesn't think they are actual will-o-wisps, they would have noticed the party by now.
He doesn't rule out life but his instincts lean more towards magic.

Ka'lion takes his bag of holding and tries to capture the lights in it.

The lights don't change course, those in the path of the bag drifting into it.
They don't seem to have any real mass but Ka'lion is unsure of how many he could scoop up this way.

He'll contenue to fill the bag. They might come in handy in a dark cave some night.

Ka'lion notes that as he removes more orbs from the flow its direction changes slightly.

Towards the direction that the orbs are removed from. Depending on where Ka'lion takes the orbs from he can angle it to either side or send it up/down - though to send it upwards he would need to remove from above the flow of the orbs.

The orbs are a pointer. We follow but go to full defence. Just in case.

The terrain is heavy at first but opens up as the group follow the orbs. They seem to be getting smaller and over the miles fade into the mist. George notes that they dampen whatever they touch like small balls of water and looking inside Ka'lions pack his thoughts are confirmed - it's full of water.
The trail seems safe to pass. If the orbs led to anything it would be just beyond this point as Ka'lion had altered their direction slightly. The group wanders what could have caused water to do this in the first place though.

Ka'lion poors out the water. And the party returns on course.

Moving around the end of the orb stream the group continue on, reaching the river beyond within the hour. Somewhere a few miles beyond lay the camp, and according to the map the river here was the last major obsticle.

The heavy foliage makes it difficult to stay next to the river - by the time Ka'lion finds a spot the sun is already low in the sky. Looks like the party will be spending the night here unless they wish to travel in the dark.

"I know. But no one beleives me when I give a warning until after we get into trouble. Besides the wagon and horse need to be able to see to get them across the river or all the good's we brought with us are going to float away. We need to search along the river to learn where the others crossed before us." says Ka'lion

The night is cold and visibility through the fog poor. Huddled around a small fire the group cover their horse as best they can and wait for dawn.
There could be any number of predators around here, the howl of wolves in the distance keep the group on guard. But as night wears on it is a different challenge that faces the party - the fire itself starts to crackle and leap about.

Ka'lion cast druids create water on the fire. Cold we'll hate but can deal with. An out of control fire in an unfamilier place is a bad idea.

The fire fizzles out, replaced by several distinctly pooling areas of water and seem to be freezing into a more rigid form despite the weather not being cold enough for that to happen naturally.
Clearly some kind of elemental magic at work.
