Chapter one part one. A land divided.

The day had been too long. Women falling from the sky, slime attacking from the oasis, and now Varis could have sworn that the bow spoke to him. No, it had spoken to him and he had answered. Could the day get any stranger. Still, it was a finely made bow and a comforting presence out here in the desert. They would all have a home once more, he would make sure of it. Swift death to the red army. Looking over, Varis sees the woman Callo handing over the bracers from the pile. He had never been one for armor, it restricted too much movement, made too much noise. However, a little bit of protection wouldn't hurt. He grabbed the bracers and looked them over, testing the fit. They could work. Varis walks over and sits down across from the woman. They would have to finish their earlier conversation soon. For now, a small rest was welcomed before the real work began. He reaches over and picks up the battle axe, testing its blade. He was never too fond of axes, dwarves seemed to love them and they had strange tastes. Yet he would use anything it took to slay the dragons, and perhaps the chief could use it as well. He had proven more than capable in a fight. Varis glances back to look at the orcs.

(Perception check just to see what the orcs are doing at the moment)

Ok so using idenitfy

You know the bow is an Oathbow with minor modifications to make useable at this lv.

Wand of magic missels who ever wants this ill send stats for it via messages : I tried to give u guys a clue " I cast magic missel at the darkness..." sorry very very old d&d joke, and i felt i needed to put something old school in there 4 u guys.

The bracers are bracers of defense. +2 to ac when u have no armor nor sheild.

It will work in all animal forms given natural armor is not under the same armor restrictions given its a natural body. However if u made armor for say when the druid is a wolf that armor ac would not stack with the bracers.

The sack is a handy haver sack. 3 potions of healing ( 2d4+2) and 2 greater potions of healing (4d4+4) are found in the pocets. This one is water proff.

There extra dimetional space just like a bag of holding or portable hole only they have more pocets.

So its a better bag of holding over all.

Ill need to look up how much each pocket can hold but i know each can have quite a bit. Im not too worried unless u want to fit a gaint list of things then we can work that out at a laterish time. It more ment to keep u guys from be bogged down in gear.


I dont think there was a sword in the loot this time, doubled checked and i did not see one this time tho if you want a sword i can change out the flail or ax and have a +1 sword be there in its place.

I was just doing different weapons given +1 sword is so over done in loot drops i wanted something bit different.

The flail and battle ax are basicly +1.
Adds to your hit and +1 to damage and are magic weapons.
The reast are just mondain sword tips ( not full blades and parts of the hilts),arrows that broken off( fired from the bow) and javlins that are only good for fire wood at this point.

Callos main interest is in the armour as her own magic is stronger than a wand or blade.

(Fear not, I understood the reference. It comes up at least once in all my sessions in some form or another. I just kind of didn't think about it as a wand does me no good. And yeah, as at said, there was a mention of a sword with arcane markings as well as the bow with the elven markings. The markings are why both drew attention above the others. I shall take the Oathbow given my Elven Heritage. Not sure what Winds AC is looking like so if he needs the bracers more I will hand them over, otherwise I'll take them so long as they don't mess with my unarmored defense.)

With the others showing little interest in the armour Callo claims it for herself, a simple cantrip cleaning the rest of the mud away.

Lol, thank u at for finding that i reread it and i must have missed it.

So the sword : its a saber. With jewels in the hilt. The palmal with a gold dragon head for the sword hilt.

"Desert Flame " in Elvish.

It has the power.

5 charges. it can cast buring hands for one charge.
You can upcast it if you use more of its charges per day.
It gets charges 1d4 per day.

Once per long rest it can spert forth a cone of fire Gold dragon breath weapon. That does not recharge on long rest its 24hrs from when u used the breath.

It wont be that powerful of a dragon breath yet but can lv with the party to get better powers.

Omar would like the sword but is ok with the magic flail.

The cheif would like the Magic Ax.

( Also who is getting a potion. There are 5 to hand out/to party.

Tho side note for book keeping: please keep track of who has what potion because ill do my best to remember but i rather have it on your online sheets. This is to be 100% sure we as a hole dont forget who has what potions at any given time.

When Omar eyes the sword Callo suggests keeping it hidden while in his possession, "not the kind of thing an agent of the dragons would let pass. Perhaps the flail would serve you better in such a public space as this."


A lesser potion each and keep the greater potions safe from harm in the bag?

Callo can use medium armour - a breastplate or mithril halfplate (I don't want to disadvantage the party at stealth)

Varis holds the bow out before him. He knew what was about to happen and yet still could not help but be surprised when it did. The bow in his hands had shifted into a longsword in almost the blink of an eye, the Elven markings now visible down the blade. That was better. He had never quite picked up the bow as the rest of his people did from an early age, he blamed his human side for that. That, and he wasn’t always the most patient individual and learning the bow required plenty of patience. Sheathing the blade, Varis finished tightening up the bracers as Callo was warning Omar to be careful with the blade he had been eyeing.

”Yes, keep it hidden until the fighting begins and be sure to show it the respect it deserves. My people may have lost their homes but we still take pride in our work. That blade should serve you well. So, what’s next? Distractions aside, we still have work to do.”

(that sounds a fine way to split the potions for now. Also, about what time of day does it appear to be now?)

Wind distributes the three healing potions to Omar, Callo, and Varis. He then tucks the wand into his robe while making some “pew pew” sounds. 

As the others gather their things, Wind looks to them and the orcs for some direction as to what to do next.

Omar finly speaks.

" The dragon headed sword will be an issue so yes the sack is best for it for now. The Red army that was here will likly let the army know we are here at somepoint. We must hope they don't alert the dwarf prison, otherwise there will be questions.

We need to let the dwarfs they are not forgotten and get all of them out. The in is not too bad the out is the main issue."

Omar: " Wind i saw you hand the dragonborn documents before. Could u create a prisoner transfer document with us being mercenaries to escourt the dwarfs to a new location. We would need to make it convincing. This could let us back out but we need a plan B just in case.

Dwarves again thought Callo surprised at how brazenly the group discussed their actions. She could see now how the old war started, they had no idea how far the dragons shadows reached.

These were likely those she was sent to help but Callo opts against butting in on their discussion, too suspicious an act even for these she would imagine. Had her magic not been depleted by the passage here the rescue would have been trivial but still... Donning her new armour she assumes the form of a half dragon and approaches the others, "perhaps I might be of some help?"



(I take it the armour is ordinary steel? A breastplate would seen suitable then)
