I introduced myself a bit in desert wolf's board, but will add some more "about me"-stuff here.
My name is Julia and I'm the oldest daughter of a German hippie couple that turned into yuppies. (I still believe that caused a childhood trauma) Right now I'm living together with my boyfriend in a far too expensive flat in Hamburg in the northern part of Germany after returning from Japan where I studied for 9 months. Here I'm a student at the local college with "Science of the Japanese Language" as my major and law as my minor. It's the second time at college for me as after high school I started to study law, dropped out, worked a few years, then decided that I do want to have some kind of diploma and started to got to college again.
I'm the worst singer in the world and wasn't allowed to sing in the house or anywhere near it when I still lived with my parents. Actually I have no artistic talents at all, but I'm always willing to admire for hours whatever artistic things other people do.
I had always heard about an obscure game called "roleplaying", but never actually asked somebody what it is until five years ago a friend invited me to join his Shadowrun group. It was a revelation for me and ended with me demanding a justification about why he hadn't told me about that before. I've been playing as well as being DM since then in several groups. I also wanted to try out D&D for a long time and saw my chance when my boyfriend told me that he needed another player for his campaign. So I asked him if I couldn't join and he said "No. You always play crazy characters." As that is not true at all I promised him that I'd play a totally harmless cleric and begged until he gave in. He then left me alone with the eTools. My evil troglodyte cleric survived for five evenings. I've been looking for new D&D group ever since (and found one lately) and played Shadowrun and Buffy in the meantime.
I also enjoy reading, cooking, taking photos, writing letters, playing computer games, console games, board games, TCGs and blood bowl. And when I have the time and money I also enjoy traveling.
As mentioned in the other thread I came to KMan's because my boyfriend who is a long time lurker here told me that players were needed. My boyfriend still lurks here, but at least I got him to create an account and maybe one day I'll even get him to post.
I believe that food automatically tastes better when it is colored red. I love learning new languages. I use an ancient keyboard that I can only plug into my PC with an adapter and it mainly consists of metal and weighs at least 3kg. I despise corn. I love comic books. I'm German, but I don't like wine, beer, pretzels or soccer. I can juggle and ride the unicycle.

Not even today, you don't like soccer? That's commendable. I hate everything around soccer, but I can't help but love the big tournaments. [For those not knowing, Germany won semi-finals from Turkey today in the European Championship. And quite a match too, it was.]

I live near to one of those "Fan Festival"-places, so the fact that Germany won today only means for me that it'll be very loud here tonight. (Although I have to admit that it also would have been loud as well if Turkey had won, because we have a big Turkish community here.)

See, there you go again, making out I cant drink. I wasn't drunk all night. I was dancing like a crazy thing, granted, but it was my bro's 30th, it had to be done. Aside from that, I recall coherent conversation right up until 3am when we left the pub. I wasn't drunk. Care to challenge that? Did I fall over once? Did I steal traffic cones? Did I chat up ugly females? No no and no! I did not sir!
I also bought you expensive whisky wicksy so if wicksy wants to be kept in whisky next time wicksy is out wicksy had best not forget who's good for whisky! eh!? what he said!

Nah, you were drunk...for a bit. But by the time we hit the Locomotive you were sober. I was well impressed That was all the dancing, it burned it out of your system. Nice whiskey too! Your hiccups were terrible though, did you shift them before you got home?

It's like watching a British sitcom...without the watching. So where are pics of all our other members? We've seen quite a few but are still missing many more.

And here is a picture of Watcherspirit practicing the Japanese "Inemuri" next to a master of this art. The photo was taken when Watcherspirit visited me in Japan at the beginning of this year.

Hi...I'm new, both to the forum and to the role-playing world. Never played a game offline but have just started getting into D&D 3.5E with a few online pals, and am looking to try out a few new groups/games/whatever else!
Me: I'm 23 and live in Liverpool, UK. I have a crappy temp job at the moment that has a fascist Internet screening program in operation, but judicious "testing" of this facility on my part led me to discover that certain websites off the beaten track are not, in fact, blocked, leading me here!
So like I said, 3.5E is what I'm familiar with but I'm a quick study. I'll go and have a poke around the forum now, see if I can find any open spots.
Nice to meet you all.

Hi brindle! Welcome to the forum! There has been a few drop outs along the way.....a PM to K Man might get you into one of his games. I know the Ravenloft campaign has gone from about 6 players to three (maybe two). I'm sure theres room for one more!

We have some good times here so hopefully you'll feel at home and join in some games, maybe even stick around for a while.
Have fun

*waves to everyone* Hello! My name is bergin. I found this place while doing some searching on the Call of Cthulhu rpg. I have been rping on the internet in freeform games for about a year, and I am fascinated by all the rules and dice and books and stuff. About me? I am a full-time student with no real job to speak of, though school keeps me pretty busy. I do very well in school, but I'm not that smart so it takes some work. I was born in an Emergency Room in Miami, lived with my grandparents in Washington (state) until I was five, and then spent a huge chunk of my life living with my mother (and occasionally my father) in the Mosquitia (rain forest) region of Honduras. I have been back in the states, living here in Chapel Hill, NC for about four years. [Edit]I'm working on finding an avatar and stuff, so stay tuned.

Welcome Bergin! Glad to have you aboard. Take your time getting used to the boards and everything, but when you want into a game i am sure we can get one together for you. Right now we are in a bit of a slump with real life intruding and costing us players, but it'll soon end and more games will b e opening up
