You just ain't seasoning it right, then, buddy! I love broccoli. Spinach is a close second. Fresh spinach is so much better on a sandwich than lettuce, and much healthier. Chopped up, I'm always adding spinach to stir-fry and omelets, and to great effect. Goes great with some ground meat and mashed potatoes, too, if you prefer heavier fare.
Seriously. Popeye knew what the hell he was talking about.

Don't get me wrong, I hate spinach, brocoli, and lettuce.
But Kale is delicious. It has a more meaty texture if you can imagine.
for spices we didn't use much turmeric coriander cumin and I'm drawing a blank on the fourth, but those are spices that you will find in most curries.

yeah italian is pretty simple if your not comfortable with it just make sure there is plenty of sauce and cheese to go on what every your fixing and it'll be fine. Honestly the first time i cooked lasagna it only had one layer of noodles cause i never could get them cooked right and its probably been my favorite one so far. as far as green vegatable i'm not a huge fan of the leafy stuff cooked. of course it's probably how they cook it where i'm from it has no flavor and they add vinagar to it so i'm sure you can imagine but spinach is so much better in salads than lettuce (side note. next time you make a salad(normal salad not pasta or somthing else off the wall) throw some grapes in it. the little explosions of sweet grapes every 3 or 4 bites really is so amazing but anyways back on topic) now if we're talking about the real green vegatable like broccoli(with or without cheese is up to you), ?zukkini? (not sure how to spell that), guacamole(avacodo), green beans, green peas, and last and the best is definatly least some good fried oakra or how ever else you want to fix it. as far as something going with meat and "tators" (excuse my southern) I'm not sure there is a vegatable that can't/doesn't go with it. 7.0

Well, now that everyone is back from TheUdjat's Dark Sun game, I just wanted to post to say that I'm back posting and gaming once more, and to simply say Hello! It's good to be back and gaming once more.
Also, sorry for those that were hit by me leaving without notice. I hope you don't hate me too much, heh.
So anyways, a lot has been going on in my life since I last played here. Some big news, I'm now engaged and also expecting my first child (Lucas) to be born in July.
Anyways, just wanted to pop in and say hi once again, and to say hi to those I haven't met before.

Not often that I've got to congratulate someone twice the same day, but here goes. Congrats on the family, and I like the name Lucas, so congrats on a good name choice as well.

Greetings to all!
I am Der, Der I am. That doesn't work as well as Sam. Though I do like green eggs and ham. I am 26, Married and spawned one offspring. I have been gaming since middle school but have been slowly phasing out of it due to work, family life and the creation of new edition after new edition. Though I am trying to make it a part of my life once more.
Blades are a huge fascination with me and I have quite a collection of knives, swords, axes, maces and other weapons. I worked at a knife shop for many years, became a professional knife sharpener and restorer. I'm an apprentice blacksmith with the American Bladesmith Society and will be working in the Blacksmith shop at Mount Vernon Estate. If you are a fellow enthusiast, I love to talk swords, but be warned, I'm a bit of a snob and lean more toward the practical and away from display pieces.
Food. Food is a gift I cherish, along with fine wins and spirits. I once was studying to become a chef but gave it up because I was young and stupid. Now I am married to a woman who has no pallet and thinks a good dinner is chicken nuggets and a Coke... not even honey mustard! So my creativity is going to wast. I dislike cooking just for myself so I don't have many opportunities to create new dishes.
I apologize to everyone now, I'm horrible with spelling. I try my best and spell check when I can, but it doesn't always work.

Hey DER! Welcome to the boards. I used to be a blade fanatic too before i got into guitar playing. I had the choice of becoming an apprentice at the Raven Armoury in the UK or going to uni to study chemistry. I chose the latter but still kept up the fascination with blades. I was a poster at the Sword Forum for a while and used to drool over all the lovely custom made blades....

Greetings Der and welcome aboard. Swords and other blades are a fascination of mine as well, while i am not exactly a freak about them, i enjoy good pieces. Preferably ones that work over look, even though i just want them to hang on my walls (none of my friends spar with weapons with me anymore, ever since i took up dual wielding...)

hello der.
welcome and please take a look around at all of our games and features. Please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions.
I don't have any swords, just a whole lot of turtle stuff.

Thank you for the warm welcome! I think I'll be spending some time exploring the site and becoming better friends with many of you.
Wicksy, I play guitar as well. What style of music do you play and what guitars do you use?

I used to play with a blues and classic rock garage band but now I'm trying to start my own group with a bit of a harder edge doing hard rock and industrial. I have Betty my Epiphone SG, J-Sun my BC Rich Warlock, The Beast a BC Rich Beast and I use a mini Marshal stack.
For the longest time I had been trying to get TheUdjat to play drums for me, but that never really worked out. Though we never really got a band going, we certainly had the look.

I didnt know Udjat was a drummer!
I play the tokai versions of strats and les pauls. I have a lovely 1984 goldstar, which is replica of a '59 strat. That does Hendrix to a tee through the right amp.

Hey all. I'm Sinisterspiral- Cheerful disposition, dark undertones. I game for the excitement of being a person of my own choice (as opposed to random circumstance, meaning life) and for the fun of being around like minded folks. I have a passion for mental expansion (leaning), carefully worded phrases (I love the way some people use the English language), and things both random and hilarious.
As far as non-gaming time, I'm usually reading, writing, or playing my guitar. I tend to focus more on the general than the specific, and tend to wing things, taking each life experience one step at a time, feeling it out, and then acting on impulse. I learn by doing, I play by ear, and I write like my pen is filled with the blood of my veins.
All that said, I'm glad to be here and I can't wait to get started. I've played a bunch with a local group, and have even run a few games myself. Perhaps in a while, once I've battled and cheered victory in concert with you fine folks, I'll see you in a world of my own. Abaio
