I don't have a problem with paladins, I only have a problem with people who take lawful goodness to such extremes that it ruins the fun for all others who are trying to participate in the game. There's lots of cool paladins out there. Ditto to that. Contrary to popular opinion, a stick up the fundament is not a class feature.

lol....a little over 24 hours and the players have decided their own roster. I love it. As for the Xeph, I do want this to be non-psionic in nearly every aspect, I will have to ask that they are not played. I don't think there's any Mind Flayers in this, but that will be the closest we come to psionics in this game. Other than that, glad you guys got this worked out and are rearing to go. I will keep the call open just for a little while longer to allow for more new people, travelers and those with hella time differences to voice their desire to play. Once closed, we'll get to posting and approving PCs and then straight to playing. If anyone has any questions or thinks I won't let something slide, PM me. Aside from the Xeph, everything so far posted sounds cool.

I'm not sure about the Dragon Shaman. One guy in my group plays one and he kind of sucks. But it could just be the player's fault. Admittedly, the class could use some help.
I love the Dragonfire Adept (I play one in the same group as the dragonshaman). Now that's a good class. Don't think we're using Dragon Magic in this game either, but I'm just saying, for future reference. Those guys are pretty awesome.
I'm gonna re read the background stuff and see if any ideas come to me in terms of what to pick.
Hopefully no one else posts that they want to play, but I would be willing to turn over my spot if there's an influx of noobs who are interested.

Huh, if there is that much of a demand for D&D, I might be willing to Run the Age of Worms Adventure path. The Only Downside is that K Man would have to *whisper* [whisper=K Man]blow up Calderon[/whisper]*whisper* before we get to the Spire of Long Shadows.
Hmm, for some reason I feel like playing something sneaky-like. Kolbold Rouge or Gnome Beguiler

Dragon Shamans are really good support types, actually. Their Aura is their best class feature- particularly the Aura of Vigor, which basically ensures that nobody in the party will ever start an encounter with less than half their maximum HP.

Well, there isn't another D&D game starting up Rojito, but I believe K-Man will start a game set in the 1940's. You could always join that.

Ok, so it looks like I'm in? Good, cause I am going to be down to one single game that I am playing in (Bring out Your Dead), and running the Random Acts game as well. I would like to play the front liner, possibly Half orc or Human Barbarian. KMAN, as far as races go, are you sticking to the standard human, halfling, gnome, elven, half elf and half orc and dwarf? That would help out the designs of everyone's characters

I'll probably play a gish of some kind, leaning towards the melee end of the spectrum.

Gish are the war wizards of the githyanki that lead others into battle. However, Githyanki are a +2 level adjustment. So unless you want to start the game when we hit level three, going to be hard to play one.

Gish is Char-Op Slang for a Magic User/ Fighter. Besides, Gith are psionic.

Yup, a 'gish' has been generalized to mean any Fighter/Magic-user. Or in 3.x terms, a build with, ideally, at least +16 BAB by 20th level as well as a healthy dose of arcane spells (ideally 9 spell levels). But don't worry, I'm not an optimizing munchkin. In fact, I'm leaning towards a pure Battle Sorc (an SRD variant) which is not ideal, but it fits the character I have brewing in my head. So, you won't be seeing a Fighter1->Wizard4->Spellsword1->EldritchKnight10->Wizard4 progression from me.

That would help out the designs of everyone's characters Any non-psionic race is fine. Of course, due to level progression you are restricted to a no LA race because we are first level. If you REALLY wanted to play a race higher, we can work out the level progression for the Level Adjustment (similar to what we did for the doppleganger in the WLD) but that would take some flattery on your part to make me do it.

I might try out a Duskblade, but I'm not sure yet. It's another one of those classes which relies on a bunch of stats in order to be functional. That's the big thing which frustrates me about the knight class as well.
