That stuff's nice to have, but not generally necessary, no. Life is rough until one can afford a haversack. On the other hand, you could reduce one of your other stats to raise your strength, thus allowing for a higher carrying capacity. Or get one of the 16 Strength people in the party to carry stuff for you. Thanks for the tips! I juggled a bit with my equipment and have a light load now. But if I buy some more things in-game, I'll need to ask for help to carry them.

Unfortunately, I also made an archer! Hopefully there will be no shortage of things to shoot (and very few 90 degree turns).
Benedito Medici Human Fighter 2 Neutral Good
Strength - 14 Dexterity - 16 Constitution - 14 Intelligence - 10 Wisdom - 14 Charisma – 10
Feats: Point Blank Shot, Precise Shot, Rapid Shot, Weapon Focus (Longbow),
Skills: Listen +4.5, Ride +7, Spot +4.5
Gear: Masterwork Composite Longbow (+2 Str), Breastplate, Battleaxe
HP: 19 AC: 18 FF: 15 To: 13 Ini: +3 For: +5 Ref: +3 Wil: +2 BaB: +2 Grap: +4
Benedito Medici is a very large man, most of his weight being nicely centered in his large gut. The problem isn’t a lack of activity, it’s a combination of slow metabolism and an undying passion for food. Fortunately, food is only one of his true loves, the other being his evangelical service to Terak. The constant traveling and bellowing, along with the occasional tussle that come from his service of Terak all work to keep him from becoming a bloated, spoiled waste of flesh. Indeed, under the rolls, Benedito is actually a strong and quick individual, though he doesn’t usually show it. His love of life is true and it shines through. While the important things in life are to be taken seriously, the appearance of oneself isn’t one of the important things. Benedito is happy to be the jester that brings cheer to the downtrodden, even at his own expense. Certainly Benedito has been blessed by Terak with divine skill at arms, but that great prowess is meant to serve and inspire the people to faith and prosperity, not to demand reverence from them.

Well, I've got my new players I believe;
Ghost Piranjade Lin
Udjat and Rojito, if you are still dead-set on joining I can certainly make room for you. Otherwise I'll take these three that are new or don't have games going. Those of you listed or ready to join can post your PCs to the Characters section for review. I'll get you started as soon as I can.
I will edit the post to be closed now.
EDIT: Those joining the game can make their PCs as 2nd level characters. Those in the dungeon just earned their first level up.

Naw, I'm cool with you taking the newer folks. I think 9 PCs would be kinda crazy, anyhow.

Hi Kman,
I'm sorry it took me so long to send you this but my Favored Soul fell apart. I've made her a Warlock but I still got her finished tonight. I saw that you've had Warlocks in other D&D games on this site so I thought it might be OK. As long as I was taking a risk I thought I'd throw in a feat: Able Learner.
I will be glad to change either one if I've assumed wrong of course.
I was unable to state the 'Grapple' question because I don't know what it is. I took the liberty of buying whatever I wanted with in reason because I can't find any stats for what I am allowed to have. I kept it in reason so I think everything is OK .

Background:
Terjon was born in the nameless, unexplored jungles far south of Cauldron in the Lost City of Gold. The legendary City of Gold is a city of Elvish design from a civilization far before any that now flourish through out the world. Its Elven founders have disappeared long before the Amazons were guided to it by the infernal Batezu Duke Diablo 600 years ago. Though the city's wonders were that the city cleaned and 'healed' itself the gold was valueless-any who took a piece from the city watched the gold turn to dust but the real treasure their was the fabled Fountain of Youth-a fountain of blood that cures any injury, heals the sick and even restores youth and beauty to the drinker. The Amazon's built their civilization around it and with its power they have managed to conquer even themightiest tribes around their many-towered, golden city-state.
Still the Fountain of Youth could not restore life to the already dead and the Amazons needed a way to replenish their ranks. So they sent their sisterhood into the world and made deals with slavers to bring men to their kingdom as breeding stock. No man could be anything but a slave in the Amazon's kingdom save one-the Ancient Great Wyrm Infernius the Fear-Forge. Across the mirror lake Infernius spied the Amazon's growing kingdom from his caves and he came forth and demanded tribute-the Amazons must offer one of their own to his own infernal allies as a pleasure slave-theultimate insult to the warrior Amazons but seeing they were powerless against Infernius' power they had no choice but to submit.
Terjon's mother was one of the Amazons that ruled that land and what you've read above explains what his father was. For some unknown purpose Terjon was born human not half-fiend. Infernius ordered the babe turned over for the dark ones own fell purposes but Terjon's mother rebelled and betraying the evil will of her own sisterhood she ran to the world of men with her child. The two of them soon settled in a small town in a far away land where the mother named her child after a cunning and heroic holy man whosheltered them (yeah, I swiped it but I did it because I've always wanted a character with that name not because I'm lazy).
That was 21 long years ago now and Terjon has become a man himself, a man with vast, unnatural powers that clearly come from his mysterious father. The younger Terjon is a walking contradiction: He is the very personification of freedom-brimming with almost unwarranted self confidence, endlessly seeking self fulfillment but yet he is endlessly tormented by drives he can not control. He feels rage sharply, he thrills at blood shed and wanton destruction and even at the sheer use of his powers. Terjon refuses to submit to these urges yet they are a part of him and he can never be free of them.
This is not the end of Terjon's contraction's-he is a good person he does right every chance he can get and he is a loyal friend yet Terjon is defined by ambition, his lust for power in all its forms is only matched by the desire for revenge that has consumed him.
Terjon's ultimate fate is very much far from decided.

Grapple is fairly simple. Its your BaB + Str + any Misc mods, like if you have Improved Grapple you get +4, if your size is a different catagory than your opponets you get +/- mods as well.

Thanks for help and bringing me in to the game. Terjon is now part of the character section.
Kman, as an afterthought, given my characters history and considering his motive of revenge against the fiends that have caused so much pain in Mother's life, if their is a 'name and face' fiend somewhere in this adventure would you mind making him the bad guy who is my character's Father.
It seems other secrets and deeper story tidbits could be made from this angle as well if it interests you.

I like the fact that we now have three female characters.
You don't see that too much around here.
We'll have to see what the new one is like, but so far we've got a slacker and a naif.
I think the guy characters are going to be the ones having the catfights though.
