Thursagon and Harknail threw the doors open, flooding the room with bright light. All within the room are surprised by the sudden appearance of strangers in the heart of their lair. As they get to their feet and draw weapons the group has a moment to deploy before the goblins can react. OOC You have a surprise round and may take one action (standard, move, or minor) before the goblins even roll for initiative. Except for the new character (L) who is as surprised as the goblins by your sudden appearance.
Every one (except L), please post a surprise round action, your current status (if you have it), and an init roll for next phase. For L, I just need a init roll.Map:

OOC: Can we get an idea what we see in the room. ie. what do the different colour's mean in terms of armor, equipment, outlook?

By the way, is the map telling us we have a 10 ft drop to go from the doorway into the room? Probably, but I'm going to say there is a 10 foot high shelf above each door. All of these are types you've seen before. Green are minions, blue are solders, red are artillary, and purple are lurkeds.

"Lurkers?" And I guess cyan is blue then. Lurkers is a monster role. Specifically these are Goblin Backblades and are basically goblin rogues. And yes, I am referring to Cyan as Blue.

Initiative [dice=20] -1+2=4 Not being able to see everyone in the room but spying a goblin soldier at the back of the raised platform infront of him (cyan 2) Bharash fires a ray of frost at him hoping to slow his inevitable charge at Bharashs comrades. Its +2 to init just because Gabe is a Warlord. Then +2 to hit because surprise gives combat advantage, which in turn gives +2 to hit. I had forgotten the +2 to hit. Maybe I will actually hit with 11 (instead of 9) vs Fort
