Doesn't being surprised grant combat advantage? You are correct, I had forgotten that. That will help Sart for her surprise round attack. She's enough of a rouge to do extra damage with combat advantage, but not enough of one to get combat advantage just for going first in the first round.

I took another look, Thursagan could reach G9 by jumping diagonally across the creak, which would still be an automatic success (I measured the creak along that line, it's 7 1/2 feet). He'd be squeezing which is -5 but he'd have +1 from charging and +1 from Raylynn for a net -3. I'll allow him to shift out of the partial square and stop squeezing on his next turn as a move action. He will do that. A dwarf in full metal shouts "Charge! I will cover the other side" while he launches himself out of the woods and jumps over the creak, swinging his hammer over the head of the surprised kobold. Attack: [dice=20] | +8-1 (with the CA) | 22 vs. AC |
Damage: Blue 7 is marked, and Thursgan is still trying to get in his feet after the show (squeezing)[rand=73901420645415782160091055557131841136350762099031882718512788415]

You missed the +3 damage from waiting for Raylynn The kobolds head was still attached after Thursagan's blow, but blood was streaming down. Blue 7 is bloodied.

Everyone gets combat advantage for the surprise round, only Thursagan and Sart get the +1 to hit and +3 damage from Raylynn's at will power.

I rechecked to see if Zack hit after all, and he still missed (though it was close). Which is impressive with rolls of 2 and 3!

Harknail charges though the forest at the nearest kobold (blue 6). [dice=20] | +8+1=20 | [dice=8] | +3=4 |
He hit the kobold with a glancing blow. Sart holds her position and fires at the same target Raylynn did, the same kobold that Thursagan charged (blue 7). [dice=20] | +8+1=11 | [dice=6][dice=6] | +4=14 |
But Sart needs more practice with her hand crossbow as her shot flies wild.[rand=50077791092917325957553219050169711126256501302124158452032133937]

Just checking--Zack's initiative was really low. Are you sure he goes before the Kobolds? Sorry, was thinking "All but Wizard", then typed the name of the wrong wizard. Zachary is the only one who doesn't get to go before the kobolds
The kobolds rolled low on init, but not quite as low as Zachary.

Raylynn scootches in between Harknail and Zynthis, while her familiar stows her crossbow and with its other springy arm hands her the longsword that had been strapped to her waist. She thrusts at the kobold with the weapon, releasing an aura of magic that envelopes the two standing beside her. As she withdraws her blade from the kobold's rump she tosses a small vial full of a green liquid over the river and it smashes on Thursagen's back, enhancing his armor and filling him with vigor as the purfumey scent of morning dew fills the air around him. Move: J13->H13->G14 Standard: Magic Weapon on Blue 3: And Zynthis and Harknail get +1 attack, +3 damage until the end of Raylynn's next turn. Minor: Resistive Formula on Thursagen: Thursagen gains +1 AC and can as a free action choose to lose this bonus and gain Temp HP equal to his Surge Value + 3. Thursagan will get solid in his feet again (stop squeezing), and shift to G10 as a move action. From there he will start a passing attack on blue 7: It looks like it is going to miss, so no extra shift and no secondary attack. Blue 7 keeps marked, and Thursagan will activate his shielded sides to gain +2 to AC and Reflex, and negate the +2 bonus to enemies flanking him. Raylynn's blow strikes true, though the kobold survives it. I assume you meant Blue 6, there isn't a Blue 3.

The AC bonuses are both power bonuses and thus do not stack, but still Thursagan will be hard to hit this turn!

Zynthis strikes with his righteous brand and misses. [dice=20]+9+1=14 vs AC
They weakened my Righteous Brand. It's now +3 instead of +5. The bonus effect is no longer based on strength bonus.[rand=13351568304131156760355333326430878337734492054065855868944372246]
