Are we all going to take a short rest before proceeding inward? A short rest is appropriate here.

Zachary climbs up the rope ladder, cleans off a spot to sit with a snap of his fingers, takes out his notebook, and takes notes on the interesting thing Raylynn is doing.

Lairaunwen Elereth heads deeper into the lair and carefully looks around the bend to the left mentioned earlier. Stealth 8, Perception 5, Dungeoneering 19 Not very stealthy but on the other hand, the rest of the kobolds are probably sleeping and if the koblods do hear her, they'll probably think it's just the gaurds.Stealth: [dice=20]+3=8 Perception: [dice=20]+3=5 Dungeoneering: [dice=20]+3=19 [rand=20788574450259978825497607013035439353226645246936663059043506223]

Lairaunwen Elereth heads deeper into the lair and carefully looks around the bend to the left mentioned earlier. Laira moved to the opening. She could hear rushing water but not even her eyes could penetrate the gloom of a deep cave. The suns light was dim this far back, around the bend there was no light at all. Not a surprise really, while glowing lichen was common, it wasn't found in all caves. Dungeoneering result, what she can see (or rather not see) is normal.

I'm waiting for the people (Laira and Zynthis) moving into darkness to let me know if they are creating light by some means, feeling their way in the dark, or retreating to get the others.

Laira Elereth is waiting for the rest of the group to finish their rest / healing surge and start moving forward. In the meantime she is standing right before the bend so she can see something before it attacks her. Laira will not take out her everburning torch until the rest of the group is ready to move.
How long does that take anyways?1.9.2.3

Yes, a short rest is about 5 minutes. As for using low light vision, that works back to the turn but not around the corner. Past that point it is too dark for even lowlight vision. You would need darkvision or some other sense that works in complete darkness.531.22.7

Understood, which is why Lairaunwen is waiting before the turn where her low light vision still works.
If the rest of the group isn't moving forward after six minutes, Laira will glance back to make sure they are still there and then take out her torch and advance.

Nothing interesting had been found on the kobolds, and everyone has climbed to the cave entrance. Sanem is down 3 HP and Thursagan is down 5. Does either want to use a healing surge to get back to full?

Raylynn follows up to Laira's back and smiles at her, "Hi. A bit dark eh? Sure you should be heading in first? Wouldn't want something to jump out and bite you." Raylynn is sincere in her concern and is perfectly content to take the lead.

The paths on either side of the rapid stream are narrow, requiring the group to move single file. The study bridge allows the group to be on either side (or split to go on both sides).531.22.7

Ah, that makes more sense, DM.
"Thank you Raylynn." Laira smiles and then follows Raylynn around the bend, rod of reaving and everburning torch in hand. The single file trap comment is a good point too.

Do I have to light a full light source or can a tiny light source work? Do we have a mage that can give us a faint light?1.9.2.3

Is there a map of the den? I went back to page 1 and clicked on a map link there but nothing happens when I click on it. Has anyone contact the site administrator about the recent issues we have been experiencing?1.9.2.3

The bend to the left is just off the map.
