Llewelyn spies a new target. A couple of arrows might look good in her. Llewelyn drew a bead on the closer of the two snippers, the one standing on floating rubble (#1). Despite the rubble in the way, he showed her what accuracy was like, and despite shooting almost straight up, both shots struck, one though the arm and one though the chest. He did miss the heart, but the sniper was not in good shape (bloodied). She staggered, but managed to retain her footing on the piece of floating rubble she was standing on. Llewelyn has the choice to do 28 damage. The Quarry damage isn't applied till after the to-hit rolls. And if applied to a crit roll, it is maximized just like all other damage rolls (other than those you get only on crits). So I applied the 28 damage. Let me know if you really only wanted to do 26 (apply the Quarry damage to the second roll) Map

Harknail looked around, but the only enemies were high overhead. Stowing his sword and shield, he started heading for the cliff of debris. Though it was only half as high as the tower, it looked like an easy climb and would get him closer to his goal.

The badly wounded sniper (#1) made her way carefully across the floating rubble to the ledge of the floating tower. From there both snipers tried to rain death down upon Llewelyn. 1d20+10-2=20, 1d10+4=5, 1d20+10-2=25, 1d10+4=9Not being as good as Llewelyn, they did not succeed in killing the elf, but both managed to hit (thanks to it being easier to shoot down than to shoot up). Neither arrow impaired the archer, but both left nasty oozing gashes, one in the left arm, the other in the right leg. Llewelyn is bloodied, down to 6 HP

Seeing that the only remaining foes to be had were at range, Claros quickly darted out of the snipers' field of view and took the extra time granted to him by not attacking to get to the wall of rubble, next to the warforged. He looked up, a bit daunted by the possible task before him, but readied himself for the climb...
MOVE& STANDARD ACTION - Double-move to I-10.
Just for clarification, climbing is an Athletics check, right? Or is there any way that I can use one of my more proficient skills to get up to the tower?
Cheers!

With no more enemies within reach Barbatos once again scanned the environment for suitable shields, picking a large flat-ish rock to pull overhead he joined the elf. Free & move action to mage hand a floating rock and move it directly over Llewelyn's head as he advances. If it's large enough for both of them to hide under Barbatos will join the elf with his other action at J20, otherwise he will hide behind the tree at J21

Blastishy seeing his friend get hit by two arrows, he knows he has to do his best to stop the bleeding. He is no cleric but does have a few things he knows he can to keep his friend alive. he moves to the elf and takes cover with his two friends in the tree and behind the floating rock if he can. I have not played a striker in a long time, totally forgot my extra damage was also maxed. I think I'll take that.Although the healing helps, Llewelyn does not like the idea of more death from above. He fires another two arrows at his previous target. Twin Strike v AC [dice=20]+9 = (+1 if I'm closer than any other ally - which I think I am) 19/20 depending on Prime shot, forgot what the penalties are. [dice=20]+9 (Same) = Same total... For [dice=10]+2 = 12 [dice=10]+2 = 11 Quarry [dice=08] Total of 23. (If only I'd hit) Aelos then dives for cover. (Trying to move so that enemy LoS is blocked by rocks - Will go prone if needed.)[rand=4499078174669394671507226356519231364833151763045405093835308447]

Seeing that the only remaining foes to be had were at range, Claros slipped past the archer and headed toward the nearest sniper, calling down his shroud onto her. He took up a position directly underneath his target, the sniper on the floating rubble. The mist that only he could see around the sniper flashed, and he whipped his left arm in three short arcs toward the sniper above. With each arc, a dart of pure shadow shot from his hand. They all streaked toward his target, seeking to knock her from the lofty position she held... The Shadow Darts power only has a range of 5 squares. The targets are 20 squares away (straight up). Sorry, I changed the hight from feet to squares, but forgot to tell anyone. The floating tower is 100 feet (20 squares) off the ground. Even the assassins shroud only has a range of 10 squares. You'll need to repost a different action.

Blastishy successfully heals Llewelyn. Llewelyn is feeling much better now.
I20 is occupied by Llewelyn, moved Blastishy behind him at I21.

He fires another two arrows at his previous target. Llewelyn missing with both shots. One strikes bottom of the platform jutting out from the tower, the other just misses the target and strikes the wall above her. Everyone is 20 squares from them at the moment, so prime shot applies. Unfortunately, they have superior cover from the ledge and floating rocks.
Llewelyn did have a rock over his head providing cover, but from the description I thought he'd want better I moved him into the tree (superior concealment).

Harknail reaches the mound of rubble and starts climbing. Climbing: (1d20+2=9)But the ancient Warforged never had to climb on his own before and didn't know where to start. The large pile of rubble was very different than climbing a mountain. Failed climbing roll, no progress climbing.
Tag Reusol and Caros (for repost)

I modified my last post, but for easy access to it, here it is in a quote...

Yes, climbing is an athletics check. But if you can come up with a creative way to use your other skills, that might work too.

Is there kind of floating rubble or debris that's close at hand which could be easily climbed onto so that I can leap from one bit to the next? If so, I have some ideas as to what I can do...
Cheers!

There is indeed much floating rubble about. Any specific 5 foot cube has a bit over 1 chance in 4 of having at least 1 piece of floating rubble. The snipper that was walking though the sky was moving from one piece to another of the floating rubble.
I'm working tonight and have face-to-face games tomorrow. If Romra hasn't posted by then I'll NPC his character and continue the game.

The snipers aren't happy about people climbing. Lucky for those climbing, only Harknail can be seen from the ledge they are standing on. The first takes a shot at Harknail, then moves inside the tower. The second then moves to the edge of the platform and takes her own shot at Harknail while keeping a wary eye out for the archer below to pop back out of the tree. Atk vs AC, dmg: (1d20+11-2=11, 1d10+4=9)Atk vs AC, dmg: (1d20+10-2=15, 1d10+4=12)The first shot missed completely while the second bounced harmlessly off of Harknail's steel plated back. Tag all. Reminder, only #2 can be targeted from the ground, and only by attacks with at least a 20 square range.
