While the group was resting after that hard fight, more adventurers arrived, coming down from the edge of the bowl shaped depression.
More adventures had arrived in Elkridge after the first group had left t climb the mountain. After hearing of what was happening, they had followed. The second group didn't have a heavily armored gnome slowing them down, nor did they stop to explore the cave. So even though they started later they reached the top soon after the first group did.
The combined group was too large to function well, there was too much disagreement as to what to do and where to go next. Things went smoother when Harknail pointed out that there was enough of them to do both. Harknail, Llewelyn, Barbatos, and Blastishy of the first group joined with a new Revenant and a new Hexblade from the second group. Others from the second group joined the rest of the first group. All in all it was a big mess, but soon the groups started to head in different directions.
The group with Dart, Tol, Romra, Stria, and Popol went to explore a floating bridge (or rampart?).
The group with Harknail, Llewelyn, Barbatos, Blastishy, and two of the new comers went to explore the tower that could be seen floating in the center of the crater.
I'm being vague on the number of people in the new group on purpose. If more people join, thats where they were. Likewise if any of the old players want to rejoin they can still change to the active group.
Normally I would have asked the players where they wanted to go, but those are to two most interesting features on the picture of the crater valley.
Tag all for discussion of how we want to proceed.

As they hiked toward the center of the crater, Claros sized up the rest of the group. Their garb was unlike any that had existed during his past life, that he could remember. However, he was most interested in the large construct named Harknail.
While his memory of life was already mostly faded, he had studied what little books there had been in Elkridge regarding the area's history. Apparently, there had been two great empires coming to power when he was alive, not just the Tieflings' that he knew of. He had also learned that the other empire, that of the Dragonborn, had opposed the Tieflings. Straining his memory to its limits as they walked, he tried to recall if the Tieflings had used any constructs such as Harknail as defensive units in battle, but no instances of such a creature came to mind.
Curious, he sped up his gait until he was at the front of the group, with Harknail. As he got closer, he could see that the creature's armored "skin" was almost pristine in condition; only the tell-tale signs of scratches or scuffs could be seen, but none that showed that any serious battles had been fought by this creature.
What is this being's story...? He wondered to himself. He coughed lightly to get the Paladin's attention, then spoke quietly; "Does your knowledge of what fate befell the great empires of years past surpass my own? Pray tell, do you know why we now walk among the wreckage of their former grandeur?"
As I am still very new here, please let me know if there's anything that I should be doing differently or that I can do better. Thanks!

EDIT: Thanks for letting me know of what to change here, Joe. I'll keep to a more accurate description of events and characters from now on!

Reusol
Reusol was a short human, barely 5'2" and once had an offer during his travels to be the worlds tallest dwarf. That mans nose is still crooked. With an appearance short and sturdy he does actually look kinda fat. He covered in a chain mail that has seen to many battles, and has the feeling of common mercenary about him. His ruby shades lent the appearance that his eyes were red as his hair looks like its been singed off rather then cut.
"I heard the others say your group had already found action up here. Some kind of broken ghost defending all this rubble." He asks when attention was directed to the Warforged. His voice sound gruff, more like it was used to barking orders then speaking softly, and it showed with him trying for a conversational tone.

I have decided to continue with Blastishy I was going to make a cleric for i did not think we had enough healing in the party, yet I talked to are DM and a few of the players. I think it is best if I stay with this character, sorry for the hold up. The Shardmind is not happy when the dwarf says this, for this seams to be something rather personal. In the dwarfs head he hears this:" It was the stupid gnomes fault, the spirit told him not to cross a line, he did so endangering us all. as to the state of mind how you feel held vs your will to serve a master who my not be the rightful king. then add to the fact that said king is forcing you to attack when all you want is peace. their minds is not what was gone it was the willingness to fight the enemy. they are not what was broken, this nation and its government is."

Why do we now walk among the wreckage of their former grandeur?" Harknail answered the request, " I naught an expert be in such matters, the empire that buildeth this rose long after I be buried beneath a wizard's tower. Still I have heard from those who knoweth such things. An empire of Dragonborn hath built mighty flying citadels. Their enemies, the tieflings, broketh the enchantments sending the citadels crashing down to the earth. This be the remains of one such citadel. As for the empires, I suppose neither surviveth their clash."

Llewelyn mostly keeps to himself, but decides to go with the group to the tower. He's both curious about it, and wants to put a stop to the attacks quickly.

Barbatos turned towards the newcomers, "I'm curious, what brought you here. Did you see the drakes also?"

Claros turned his head slightly to call back toward the human wizard, Barbatos; "I had been staying in Elkridge in anticipation of the Beerfest. I'd been there for quite some time when the drakes began attacking." He paused, looking like he was pondering something, then continued. "In retrospect, I could have taken it upon myself to help with the defense, had I mustered the resolve to do so. However, I am still very new to this world, as I've been... Sleeping, shall we say." Claros' eyes suddenly glaze over as he seems to remember something, then he falls silent, slowing his pace until he fell to the back of the group. He would remain silent for the rest of the trip, unless spoken to, specifically...

Reusol
"If they only want peace then there moral should be low, if they can fight back against there enchantment at all we should be able to ignore then or at least make short work of them." he said not directly at any one, he seemed to be mulling over the tactical information they expresed. "I was following orders, that why i'm up here, i havent seen any of the drakes yet." he said as he followed the groups path, he tried to keep a look out for anything out of place but the mass of rocks didnt make it any easier.
Got to admit kinda glad i switched character, to many revanants in one area and it looks more like we are a mass of zombies going to attack a ghost army, led by a tin man lol

Being a Paladin, Harknail marched toward the floating tower boldly and with no attempt at stealth. It would be easy for anyone to see or hear him coming from quite a ways off.
Setting up marching order, where do you want to be relative to Harknail? And if you'd rather sneak up on whatever lies ahead, you'll need to convince Harknail (and perhaps others) to at least try to be quiet.

Following behind Harknail, trying to be ever vigilante for encounters. he didn't mention anything about stealth.

Setting up marching order, where do you want to be relative to Harknail? Alongside Harknail while travelling, dropping back if trouble breaks out.

Claros senses a slight tension drop over the group as they begin shifting into a more effective marching order. He took up a position near the back of the group, though sticking close to his allies, lest they need him...
I'd like to be in range of an enemy within the first round, so I'll stick close to the group, though at the back and to the left.

Llewelyn does not mind being in the back. He's good with a bow. He's technically better when closest to his target, but he'll compromise.
