they glare at him, " since when do you give us orders, your not a commanding officer? where do u get off issuing commands, your a new recruit." and without warning commander yells at skar . WE DO NOT BRAKE THE CHAIN OF COMMAND EVER. IF YOU EVER DO THAT AGAIN I'LL MAKE YOU REGRET IT! Sargent get me restraints for the beast and double time it we are going to need a lot of it. as the rest of the guards leave your officer to go get what was commanded. " I am sorry Skar but i can not give you special treatment your a guard like the rest of them now, they follow my commands not yours. I must keep the chain of command, you must follow and respect it. your skill at fighting has gotten you my respect and most of theirs. yet they hate when those without rank step out of line , and what you just did was over your rank. even a small request are not yours to give. For now let me command them, once you rise in rank then you can start giving orders, we have a chain of command and we must fallow it." the guards come with back with 100 ft rope. the guards don't have use rope if any of the party wishes to do it they may.

Skywatcher smiles at the outbursts of the chimera, responding with as much dignity as he can muster.
"A-ah...well, i-i-if it is an ambass-ass-assador that is des-suh-sired, then may I p-p-pres-sent..."
Deep breath. Speak well.
"Lady Brienne, ambassador annnd...diplomat.

The diminutive form of the pixie appears standing firmly on the shoulder of Skywatcher. She has an playful expression teasing at her countenance, and her wings drape past her like a gossamer cloak. She smiles, pats the Goliath on the head, and addresses the chimera smoothly in its favored tongue (Draconic). "If a diplomat you require, then a diplomat you have. I see you would prefer conversation over death; a wise decision. And, yes, I am an ambassador for one of your master's kind, but since that is a lengthy title, let's stick with Brienne, shall we?

The dragon head looks at her,
"Very well. I am hear to collect an item that was stolen from the rightful owner, it was forged in his land. Do to this fact it makes the Ax his and as you know now he wants it back. Tell your dragon if he has any information on this ax my lord will pay him rather well for it. there are not many of you still alive so it would be a shame if are slain. my master would pay you much more then your getting with your current employer. more to the point now we talk terms. I feel it is more then giving if the ax is handed over to me and i leave alive and give it back to the king. The towns people will not be harmed as long as they are not the ones holding the Ax, for we are to slay any who hold the ax by order of the king. yet if you are a true diplomat of a dragon and you were to hand it over that is the only exception my lord will allow. the laws of our kind state that the king has jurisdiction in all lands of Sira, any uprising and he may take any action he chooses. he lets your dragons live in his lands as guests. So by law any info that is kept from him he holds the right to kill any ambassador helping any dragon who a posse any request or demand. His request is for the ax back. I hope you understand the terms."

Callo closes her eyes briefly as the others spoke, the distraction enough for her to focus her attentions elsewhere for a moment.
The ax was unique, if it was close it should be easy to locate. She formed an image of the ax in her mind and reached out with senses that were not her own.
Locate item(Andromalius) - if the ax is somewhere within 900 feet then Callo will sense its direction, else she will sense that it is not nearby

Skar bares his teeth and scowls at the weak guards who lives he and a hand full of strangers have just saved. Stamping down on the blood rage boiling up in him he shuts his mouth a nods. [dice=20] + 15 intimidation at the hostile guards. (just a look no noice or movements)[rand=482785042375326161397461537271738320041629485785965578005837742239]

Brienne seats herself upon Skywatcher's shoulder, politely listening to the creature's story. Once he finishes she begins, "What I understand is that you are on a quest. As for myself and my companion, we do not have the Ax that you are seeking, nor do we know where it might be within the city, if indeed it is here."
"Furthermore, while you serve a very powerful dragon indeed, your position is frightfully weak. You did not make your demands known to the town so that they could accommodate you adequately. You did in fact, make a raid; one for which your band seems to have paid for heavily."
"The guards here do not like you. I would suggest that you begin to bargain for your release, rather than make idle threats on my kind."

Callo does not feel the ax is any where close to her and does not pick up a direction it could be any where in Sira, a needle in the dessert as it were, that can be moved from place to place no less. finding it would be no simple task.
The chimera looks at the pixy " One does not beg, for release, that is weakness and a cowards way out. I rather fight to my last breath, but seeing as right now i cant, do the right thing and take my life. I will not yield or ask for my own release for my life, for i am part red dragon and we show no weakness or mercy. we do not surrender and rather die on the field of battle then let the enemy disgrace us. my life is not in my hands or yours, it is in his right to kill me and his alone, I am a slave, we have no freedom."

The chimera's comments confirmed what Nokomis was thinking, that the life expectancy of a Red dragon's slave that failed in it's mission was rather on the short side.

Glass listened to the creature. They were not so different as he would prefer to believe. A thought compassion and power entered his mind. To the fight he was no one; Just the first hand pointing to the sky. He would have to risk being conspicuous, an idea that mad Glass uncomfortable but the reward was too tempting and risks had to be taken. He wondered for a moment if he could pull it off even if he did get his way.
"I understand what it means to be the slave of a dragon," Glass said walking up speaking perfect Draconic and pulling up the fabric of his one of his sleeves revealing some of the permanent damage. "I will see to your permanent rest as I myself sometimes longed for as a slave but I will also do you a final kindness. I imagine you have groan attached to the other two that inhabit your being. I will set them free of your chains. I will take your head alone and save the others." Then, in a whisper (Through the message spell) Glass adds, "I can do as I have said."
As glass passes the officer he slows down and whispers in his ear in common, "We have a chance to cut the head of this beast off and tame the animal half. Consider well what a guardian beast like this would do for this city. There will not be another chance"
Glass walkers further still and addresses everyone in loud tones. "I have just offered to kill the dragon of this beast and leave the rest alive. It can be done. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Illban Redress, professor of Beast studies from Redress University." Bluff: [dice=20] + 15[rand=3737675598822534253649564227089383697711257264025302061541005969]

yes it can as long as you when you cut of the head you make it so you seal the " wound" closed and prevent it from bleeding out, heads have lots of veins. heat should do it healing spell prevents bleeding out at -1 through -9 so i see no reason you can't use one to prevent the bleeding.

Brienne looks to Glass, looking surprised, (Draconic)"You would both kill and enslave him?"
She waffles her head back and forth raising her eyebrow in a skeptical fashion, "I agree that he is single-minded, but to do both seems rather excessive."

OOC: Are you referring to what was whispered to the captain? It was not said to the group and to hear it. You could through a listen though. Or was your character assuming my course of action?

I have a bad habit and need to clean mine up more but there are different ways to put text. and they mean different things out load so everyone can hear is white and bold, green is out of game
slanting with these is "internal mono log."
slanting bold is so that others you SAY can be the only ones to hear it. ( I did this for another game that allowed telepathy) so it was not even clear to me it was a message spell or not. and you did say it out load regardless listen check to hear what he told the commander
"I have just offered to kill the dragon of this beast and leave the rest alive. It can be done. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Illban Redress, professor of Beast studies from Redress University." Bluff: + 15[/quote]

At this point i would like to move things a long, you can rp this out if you want or you can vote to kill it or chop off the head and keep it. when all votes are in that will be the call made, majority wins. the NPCs will not have a vote, for i do not want to tie or influence in any way. 7 is an odd # and in this case it is a good thing. after this we start a new section/ chapter. and i will post that up as soon as this is resolved.

Sorry, but Nokomis doesn't care one way or the other. The big question is what does the Dragon head think of the offer?

OOC: Well, for the sake of moving it along, I wont worry about the roll.
Neevin storms out of Glass's hood, a rat of rage, *Squeak!* *Squeak Squeak." "Squeak Squeak Squeak Squeak!*
Glass looks patiently to the diminutive figure, another risk, (in common) "It seems you have misunderstood me. You heard what I spoke to the captain but did not Interpret it as I meant it. Yes I do mean that the beast could live here protecting these people but I did not speak of forcing it to do so. It has the option of a symbiotic relationship here but you should not discuss that with the Dragon head. It may be compelled to reject the offer, against the other two inhabiting entities wishes, if it perceive it to do these people good. So I will not tell it that. But I will not subjugate the rest of the beast against it's will. Neevin here," Indicating the rat, "follows me not because I have enslaved him but because our wills and hearts aline."
(In Draconic, with the utmost sincerity) "I believe my words were misunderstood. I have been a slave for one hundred years. I would not do that to another. I wish only to end your suffering and free the ones that share your chains. It is your decision."

The chimera was likely for the chop regardless of it's opinion on the matter - it had killed many people and should it attempt to escape, as Callo believed it would, the curious orc guard looked ready to take off more than one head.
The elf, Glass, clearly had great resentment for dragonkind but had missed the creatures earlier words - a blue...
