The innkeeper seems a little wary of Ka'lions comment, "you should have the priests look at that."
He glances briefly past Ka'lion into the inn "been a few odd types through here over the last few days might know about that sort of thing, but none here now - most cleared out when the skies cleared.
There is Kane but no-ones seen him for months, most like him live up in Burr."

"The drawback to getting priests help is they tend to take license with the truth when they can profit on it. That does not mean they don't mean well. But their offer for our magic items seems to be a form of hoarding. They wont sell us magic unless we give them ours. It's possible they are just trying to strengthen their temples defenses and I can understand a need to do that. But it seams to me that the people most likely to know what it is doing to me are druids, but my Friend here has never studied spellcraft. I still don't know how he ever intends to read a magic scroll without it. and if not a druid then my next best option is a wizard. My grandmother would be ideal as her specialty are magical beast but it would take me six months at least to get there at my speed and my grandmother would end up laughing herself into an early grave at my predicament." said Ka'lion unhappy.

I forgot if we get feats at 3rd level, and not sure how the spoils of the adventure are being distributed, otherwise I believe I finished my level up. Also, I'm curious about what exactly the crystal and necklace do, but otherwise I'm fine with exchanging them for items and gold. Also, my suggestion to warn the lizardmen was there not only for their own safety (good aligned cleric after all) but because if the lizardmen do release the undead, and fall, the next place to get attacked could be here. "Mayhaps the druid never intended to read magic scrolls? Also, magic items do not come cheap, and they are selling them to us at cost if we give them one we found. I also highly doubt that the priests would lie to you about what the mask was." Having been a member of the church of Pelor for quite some time, Aelos does highly trust those who work for good aligned deities.

Vadania puts her shakes her head and puts her hand to her forehead. She knew she was flat chested compared with humans, but she still found it hard to believe that Ka'lion had traveled with her for days without noticing that she's a girl!

I forgot if we get feats at 3rd level, and not sure how the spoils of the adventure are being distributed, otherwise I believe I finished my level up. You do get a feat. Distribution of items are at the discretion of the party, though in this instance Ka'lions mask and the three trinkets are of approximately the same value.
Everyone please update their character sheets - any problems let me know.
Sageaqua - i'll add a post to your character sheet describing the first level of the shapeshifter class as granted by the mask

"Are you feeling well Vadania?" asked Ka'lion, "We might as well sell the items. As I can't get this cursed thing off. I'll claim it as my share. Unless one of you want it? I have no objections to seeing the lizard men but I don't plain on staying long enough to talk with them. So if any of you can write a letter in their tongue. I'll pick up a bow and we can send it to them. Now if you'll excuse me. I'm going to go buy a strength bow if I can find one I can afford. But my vote is to track down the village killer. Unless he is stopped he is a danger to all villages he passes through."
I added a few questions for the gm on my sheet, and I take it those abilities from the mask are permanent or are they lost if I get rid of it? Temp skills, abilities and feats are a lot harder to keep track of. My other question relates to the trickery domain: Do I gain the granted powers?

I take it those abilities from the mask are permanent or are they lost if I get rid of it? / Do I gain the granted powers? You have effectively taken a level of the shapeshifter druid class from the PHB2 - though with slight variations. I'll post up an advancement chart for it when I have the time. You will not lose a character level if you remove the mask, though you will lose any other benefit it grants.
You do not gain the granted powers of the trickery domain, nor can you memorise the spells - only swap them out on the fly. You do not gain any of the normal abilities of a druid save for those listed.First 10 levels of class here: kmansadventures.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=char&thread=8763

"I'm fine," answered Vadania. "It's just that you were referring to me as a 'he'. I would have thought that you would have noticed by now that I'm a girl."

"I noticed your a women. I just thought you where one of the guys. I guess I'm wrong and beg your apology." says Ka'lion getting on his knee's and holding her hand like a dog begging for approvel.

Ka'lion's response brings a smile to Vadania's lips and brought forth a slight chuckle. "You're forgiven," was her response.
I will try to get Vandania leveled up this weekend, right now my free time is going towards getting ready to launch a new face to face campaign tonight.

How much did Ka'lion spend for food, drinks and lodging at the tavern? because after he's picked up his new bow and 40 arrows he only has 15 gp left. I figure that means he'll be ready to go in the morning because he can't afford to stay any longer then that.

How much did Ka'lion spend for food, drinks and lodging at the tavern? Lodging, food, ale and the like account for about one gold coin per day and includes basic stabling for the mule. At length the group retire to their rooms, still worn from your adventures. The night passes peacefully but in the morning you are woken by something of a commotion from the common room downstairs. [enter Throsah]

Walking into the tavern Throsah glances around and pulls his hood farther over his head. Wearing a black cloak that covers his whole body and backpack he stands out a little (might look a bit like a hunchback), but hopefully this will keep his wings from being seen. Walking over to the barkeep Throsah orders a mild drink and takes a seat trying to listen in to what was all going on around here.
I had heard there was some strange things around here, but man this place looks more upset than just about anything I have ever seen. He thinks to himself.

Ka'lion grabs his battle axe and his new long composite bow, a quiver of arrows and heads down stairs.

A few of the locals move aside as Throsah walks in, not warm to the sight of a armed, hooded hunchback but not hostile either. However their attention is mainly focussed on a young girl, perhaps 12 or 13, performing simple tricks with a winged kitten at the far end of the room. Though neither she nor the kitten are particularly skilled or graceful their act appears to be generating quite a considerable amount of coin and the locals are vocal in their approval of the curious pair.

Aelos wouldn't be able to identify anything about the winged cat, but would guess either magic or a magic item gave the cat wings. He's curious about the spectacle and would like to speak with the girl, but isn't going to disturb the performance without a reason.

Vadania was fascinated by the the cute flying kitten. She kept a hand on Ylva in case the wolf decided that the kitten was food.

"The girls most likely a sorceress. I've seen the flying cats before. I don't recall what they are called though. I always thought they turned a fair fight into an unfair fight. They cheat when they hunt for birds." said Ka'lion, "They are an improved familiar. That's makes her at least third level in skill. Could be higher. My grandmother used to train young sorcerers. She's about the right age."[rand=9134421173948795738884666003286868063226900994787321742936037481]

Vadania and Ylva have leveled up. Looks like I forgot to level Ylva to level 2, so she ended up doubling her HP. Ylva is a much more capable melee combatant now while Vadania is improving her archery.

(Just Aelos and Darrian to level up)
Ka'lion identifies the cat as a Tressym, not uncommon in the north isles but rarely seen this far south. Like all cats they can be adopted as pets and are no sure sign of an individuals magical prowess, though on inspection the girl does appear to be using some form for magic to aid her performance.
The performing cat is not the only curiosity in the room, a hunchbacked archer with a particularly fine looking bow stands nearby at the bar and by the fire - and given a fair degree of space - a scarred and tattooed warrior of the hill tribe barbarians, fierce rivals of the hollows barbarians, silently watches on.
The barkeep had said that many unusual individuals had been passing through here of late and clearly he was not mistaken.
