OOC: Stravanya has studied the diary in full over the course of the journey (ever since they were out of the immediate danger of the Gnolls). She has looked for whatever connection the remains in the casket in the Gnoll lair (or indeed any landmarks they have passed while tackling the Gnolls) might have to what they are looking for via the Diary. For example, maybe we can determine by the age of the remains in the casket that the map (which Zem copied before it changed to map the current area) was a map with long lost locations mentioned in the diary.
Knowledge checks for this: History, Religion, Arcana, Perception, Nature, Dungeoneering.
How many days has it been since the last combat encounter? (Stravanya would use her daily lucky charm power to enhance that many days worth of knowledge checks on these documents)

Assuming we've found a buyer for the artwork and gems, and having whoever takes a healing potion from the loot pile getting less gold in the amount of the healing potion as Zem suggested, the total will be 966 GP split 7 ways plus 610 GP split 6 ways (as Bennegar was not present yet when we obtained the 610 GP). If I am correct in this, Stravanya will take her 240 GP share and buy some Acrobat Boots (PHB 246) and Investigation Gear (MME 124) She then sells one of her original healing potions to buy a set of footpads and a whistle (MME 124) leaving her with 4 GP. If anyone wants a 50 GP healing potion for 10 GP I could sell it to them instead of the store lol (I can only sell it for 1/5 what I bought it for according to the Players handbook) For leveling up she choses the Bond of Foresight Daily Power & replaces her Heavy Blade Expertise Feat with the Melee Training Wisdom Feat. OK, Stravanya has been leveled up. I have her as having 14 GP left after buying all the items above without her having to sale any of her 10 potions of healing.Oh cool! In that case she also nabbed a Writing Case (MME 124) at Moonhaven for 10GP , leaving her with 4GP

" mam where we are from is from all over Not a single one of us from the same place. Yet you may ask them once they are here if you wish." ( he is dodging the question a bit but not lieing to her. he is just not going to give away personal info.) "Well we will go get the rest of us now." looking at the war foraged. "It would be great if you come with me to get them please. We will only be a moment mam." The woman stands in the doorway, watching as Zem and Harknail retreat to gather the others.

It's hard to get a good read off of her, there is much that is strange with that woman. But it does seem that the indeed gets few visitors. Stravanya is picking up no signs of hostility from the unarmed and unarmed woman. Still, she can't shake the feeling that the woman is analyzing the group as she watches them from the doorway.

Barbatos shrugs, "elf?"
Given his recent travelling companions he felt little would surprise him, but someone with knowledge of past events that Harknail had slept through might be able to shed light on their searches.

"She is well over a century old, at least as old as Harknail. Given that she is at least as old as the original topics mentioned in the Diary and clearly not unfamiliar with magic, she could well be the breakthrough we are looking for in making sense of the Diary.

Knowledge Skill check Arcana to detect what magic is giving her such an otherworldly impression (her striking white and purple patterned color, her longevity and lack of aging, her isolation since the fall of the Dragonborn empire, her overall strange aura, etc) invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/4756380/18+5 = 23 Knowledge Skill check Religion for the same info about her magic if the source of her magic is Divine rather than Arcane. invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/4756382/10+10 = 20

There doesn't seem to be any Magic on her.
Harknail offers his observations, "I be sensing a kinship with her. I be thinking she hath been awake and alone for a very long time and seeketh the company of others. She be a Deva, as be Oris. As such she be far more likely to aid us than hinder us. I for one would liketh to hear what has transpired in these lands since I was buried"

" Harknail, stavania i trust your judgement of the situation and thank you for the recon."
" Given r mission and info in our book, i question what side she is on, Yet you say to turst her then i will. i just dont want that book out of our sight. Just Be on alert for anything. K time to head out to her."
He leads the group and the cart towards the cabin.

Harknail says, "Most Devas be good. Those that be evil be reborneth as a monster after they dieth." After a moment he admits, "This one has liveth long, she mayhaps be evil and simply not dieth yet. Yet I be sensing no malice in her, just curiosity."

((Oh, geez. Lots of activity since I last checked in. I've been rather busy with work and other gaming stuffs, but I'll hop to it right now...))
Bennegar stands back a ways, watching the group discuss the old woman curiously. He had been almost completely silent during their travels, as was his wont, and saw no need to break his silence yet. He still had very little idea as to what the group's goals were, but he enjoyed this time with other people, an experience to which he was so poorly acclimated. He was content to give his two-coppers' worth when it was due, but they had yet to encounter anything that resonated with him as powerfully as the creature in the temple had. This woman gave him chills, but he didn't know why. He heard the warforged call her a "deva", but he didn't rightly know what that was. Probably some form of divinity, given that she appeared no older than he, and was apparently over a century on. Lizzy quietly mumbled something to him, and he replied, but other than that, he kept his eyes on the woman, ready to step in, should she want for conflict.
((About my choice to forgo the level 5 power, I'm wanting to focus more on casting and the like to start, and less on the Fighter aspect of my character. Lizzy is more for utility, than anything else, but I plan on splitting a bit more evenly between Fighter and Mage around level 10. Villain's Menace is meant to be a buff for when we fight bosses, since my daily spells would hit harder and more accurately after using it. As for the one-handed spear thing, that makes sense, now. Good to know I don't have to Mage Hand to use different abilities now. lol))
((EDIT: My bad, misread part of a post. :I lol))

At the prospect of introductions, Bennegar pulls his hood lower over his crystaline face, the glow from within dimming further. He could see that this woman was likely not a stranger to those of unnatural origins, but he didn't wish to reveal too much at once. He also tucked his left arm deep into his robes, to hide its girth beneath the cloth's folds.

Hello, it is truly a pleasure to meet you. Thank you very much for inviting us to your home. I am Stravanya, an Avenger, divine servant of the Goddess Erathis. I am a mere mortal and thus very excited to be in the presence of a Deva. My temple sent me here from the other continent to prevent some powerful artifacts from falling into evil hands, a mission I hope perhaps you can advise us on given your abundance of years. We did not know anyone lived here. Would you like any help with preparing the meal?

The woman replies, "I be simply Kayah. Ye goal be a worthy one, I be providing to thee what assistance I can. But I hath come to hate violence, so I cannot accompany you on your quest. As for dinner, it be worth hungering a few days to have company again. It hath been so very long since I had anyone besides myself to talk to, not since Ustraternes fell from the skies. I have no meat to offer ye, me hopes that my vegetables be enough to satisfy ye. Thy help be most welcome."

" thank you for the hospitality, we are most greatfull.
I take it that she leads us all inside? If so : zem is carefull to wipe his shoes outside.
Tracking mud in would only make more work for an old person. Even tho he had little trust in her the cat was out of the bag so making more work for someone was a jurk thing to do, if they offered help.
" i love what you have done with the place. Yet our mission is urgent, as my friend said there much evil wish to get thier hands on things and we must get them before they do. Barbados the book if you would please?"

Barbatos was lagging slightly behind the group bringing a pack of rations to offer in trade for something fresher rather than the little coin they had, but upon hearing the name Ustraternes he leaves the pack behind.
"Ustraternes, the Dragonborn's flying citadel? We travelled there not long ago, the magic that once held it aloft still lingers and the descendants of the dragonborn still rally to it. I would be greatly interested to hear about it and what caused it to fall from the sky, if I would not be imposing on you to ask"
