Vadania calls out, "Ylva!". She sends an arrow at the sorcerous who burned her friend, more upset at than then her own impending demise.

The enchanted arrow is too much for the wounded sorceress, finally dropping her amongst Vadania's fallen allies, dead.

The final spearwoman continues to fight regardless with a look of otherworldly malevolence in her eyes. With her allies above and both Vadania and Garrot badly wounded victory is still not assured.

Garrot, after failing to strike the spear woman twice, decides to invoke his spear's magic. He focuses his will and tells the spear it is time to hit the mean lady.

The ice magic still imbued in the spear fells the last warrior, and Vadania rushes over to check on Ylva who is in poor shape - but still alive.

Nearby Lynette sits up groggy but alive, "did we win?"

You do - touch attacks just ignore armour, shields, and natural armour values.

Vadania answers, "We won, but just barely. We're in no shape for another fight, but we have one to fight anyway. Thanks for your spells, they really mad a difference!"

Vadania will use one of her cure light wounds scrolls to heal Ylva. UUG2l50ep_1-8+1=7 hp

Vadania will suggest someone look over the shamans equipment, it looked he he might have something that provided him healing. She'll also ask if Lynette can cast that heal spell again, given short bit of time, that could at least get everyone up to half HP. 1-8

Lynette nods, "it's not a spell, just something I can do"

As the party rests and recovers two of the warriors they brought with them descend the stairs and call out, "the forces above have pulled back, the path to the camp is clear"

The decision is made to return to the camp before reinforcements arrive, taking the bodies of the fallen and using the construct to collapse the entrance to the mausoleum. The victory is met with a mixture of optimism and sadness at the death of the once loyal priestesses, and fear that the same madness might one day befall the survivors.


For the group though they have for the first time is a while the luxury of soft beds and cooked food, and the first true victory against the allies of the demon that has caused so much devastation.

OOC: I thought there was still a ritual we needed to interrupt? Or was that the sorcerous that came to us before we could recover from the last fight? After coming all this way, we need to finish the mission if it isn't already done.

Also, which bodies are we taking when we "take the bodies of the fallen?"

In any case, Vadania wants to be sure that we bring anything that might be valuable (or rather useful). We can sort that out later.

The fallen of the order, though Garrot also grabs the shaman's magical belt on the way out.

The ritual was to raise the dead here in the mausoleum - and in the room beyond the group does find preparations for the ritual which they destroy, but without the sorceress to cast the spells the dead are safe here for now.
