Feeling that their journey has been delayed long enough the group finish their food, gather their possessions, and head north-west out of the town following the same path Ka'lion had not long ago. Vadania also recognises some of the surroundings as they get further from Burr, crossing the path they had taken after discovering the curious mechanical walking device buried in the ground.
After a few hours on uneventful travel the party turns west to skirt along the edge of the forested area rather than the more uneven ground to the north and thoughts turn to finding a good camp-site. With the returning wildlife Vadania is even hopeful of catching something for the wolves to eat.
(watch, camp arrangements, etc?)

Vadania will take the middle watch with Ylva, leaving the third watch to Brennan and Orns. During the watch, she change to wolf form so she can talk to Ylva, though she'll keep her voice down and ask Ylva to do the same.
As for the camp site, she'll look for a spot that offers some seclusion, so that they can't be seen from far away. If it looks like rain is likely, her favorite spot is under an evergreen tree (the branches direct rain away from the center.

Ka'lions watch passes without incident, as does Vadanias, with intermittent light showers of rain but nothing to trouble the party beneath their shelter.
Near the end of Brennen's watch however the air grows noticeably colder and snow begins to fall. Unexpected but not something that should trouble the party - though it was cold and the group had not started a fire.

Brennen is happy enough with last watch. It's as good a watch as any.
The unexpected cold is unexpected, but not something to wake the party over, necessarily. He'll try a detect magic to confirm that it's a natural phenomenon.

The snow does not detect as magical.
It does start to get pretty cold for the party without a fire though and as it approaches Orns final watch the chill is starting to rouse the others - in the light of the rising sun a layer of snow can be seen across the ground all around and it continues to fall.
Waking up to this sight Vadania is most surprised of all - there was no indication of snow the day before. Ka'lions thoughts go to the curious portal and snow-covered land at Melwyns home while Orns maintains his usual silence.

OOC: Has Vadania ever seen snow in the fell before? Is this something she's never or rarely seen, or something that happens every year, just not at this time of year?

It snows sometimes, usually a cold front from the north during the winter months. It has happened before more than once in Vadania's lifetime that snow has come this early in the year but never so suddenly, she suspects something unusual simply because she did not sense the change coming.

Vadania comments to the others, "It appears that again magic is changing the weather of the fell. If this cold continues, we may need to track down the cause and deal with it. Meanwhile, it makes our movements harder to hide."

When she refreshes her spells for that morning, Vadania swaps out some entangles for Pass without Trace. If Ka'lion rides his horse, Vadania can cover everyone for 6 hours with a single spell. A second Spell brings that up to 12 hours of traveling.
OOC: Are berries still available this time of year?

OOC: Are berries still available this time of year? Yes, the types change but various forms of berries can be found throughout the Steadlands at different times - though not as easily in some places and seasons.

Vadania will pick a Goodberry spell so as to save on rations, especially if we don't find fresh game for the wolves. So she'll be looking for berries as they travel.

The snow continues to fall, but as the group continues north it begins to thin - the snow oddly localized near Burr and Melwyns home.
The light coating on the ground makes it easier to spot fresh tracks as the party encounters what are almost certainly the footsteps of Ibixian traveling across their path and sotuheast towards Burr, though they are aiming for the rougher terrain south of the path the party took.
(tracking tests to determine details)

Vadania estimates 7 Ibixian, a scouting party rather than a real force - when Ibixian attacked they did so in much greater number.
Scouts would suggest a larger force around somewhere, perhaps the same force that had originally besieged Burr Town.

Ka'lion alreadys knows about the ibaxin that routed the barbarains and brings the group up to date on that attack and the servivers he had seen. This may be importent enough to deal with it now. But we don't have a party large enough to handle it by ourselves.
