Well I had already imagined that it would work like that. I didn't think that Spiral was some dice rolling super genius hacker, just that he had a lot of time on his hands to mess around.
But it is a little spooky that you can know what we're doing whenever you want to know.

I can imagine Kman reading through all those fascinating lines all the time, lurking from behind his desktop as he's observing us at every step we take...

Ha ha! Truth be told, I had no idea it was there until Japic started bringing up ways to break the dice roller. I poked around the admin section and found it. It really doesn't tell me much, hell the post itself will tell me if you've modified it, but it's the only record I have of anyone deleting something. I'm not "big brother" here people...but if you do get a box labeled 'Security Webcam" on your doorstep, just please follow install instructions and then go about your daily lives.

No probs. I poked aroung with it because I'm a programmer, and I like to find bugs.
The log you posted a link to shows all my modifies and deletes. The modifies were made when you make a post, and instead of translating to a dice roll, it leaves the dice tag [] there as normal text. modifying it gets it to resolve correctly.
the posts and deletes were for the first two 6s. after getting 2, you don't need to post/delete anymore. note the third and fourth 6s came straight away.
unfortunately, you can use the page source from the html for any given board page to get any number you need, without doing the post/delete thing you see me doing in the log.
I won't say how, incase other DMs want to use these dice in their games, but I will not be using them in OMAM. =)

Yeah, there are other (non-HTML) ways to do it as well. But hey, we just have to rely on people being honest with us.

edit. We can use them in OMAM. They're safe enough, and nobody on here is interested in cheating anyway, so get rollin' you sissy witch hunters! =)

there's always a way to cheat. I used to steal money in a game of Monopoly when my sister needed to visit the bathroom, cause I knew she did the same to me. In the end the both of us were wiggling in our chairs uncomfortably during every monopoly game trying to postpone the inevitable sanitary visit.
The moral of the story must be clear.

Yeah...don't play Monopoly with Vemu, but if you must, bring a baggie or an empty Big Gulp cup. *yuck*
