And not very easy to explain.
Fortunately no one will play monopoly with me anymore. I don't fall in for those capitalist shennanigans so I refuse to trade any of my properties. That always leads to a big argument and eventually everyone just gives up.

I like using the d155's. They're really handy. Especially when rolling for damage

IE post
The following posts are to test the IE dice capabilities.
There is no dice button available in the browser (underneath the color's dropdown), so I'll insert it manually.
[dice=4] [dice=6] [dice=8] [dice=10] [dice=12] [dice=20] [dice=100]

Same dice, add in the random string from a Firefox post.

Exact same string. I cannot see results in IE, will look in Firefox.
IE post
This post is to test if the same random string will produce the same set of dice.
Same dice, with the same random string from a Firefox post.
[dice=4] [dice=6] [dice=8] [dice=10] [dice=12] [dice=20] [dice=100]
[rand=46162509380971917965810763007803408875583915146336892772359190288]

I can see all dice that have had the Rand string added in another browser. However the rand string produces a fixed set of dice in both posts. Here I've modified the last number in the rand string from an 8 to a 9.
We should see different results.
[dice=4] [dice=6] [dice=8] [dice=10] [dice=12] [dice=20] [dice=100]
Edit: Results of one digit change remained the same. moved the first four digits up from 4616 to 5727.
[rand=57272509380971917965810763007803408875583915146336892772359190288]

FF Post
Interestingly the dice only changed a little bit. I'm not sure what the factor is for each type of die in each position regarding the rand string. It seems to me that if you could randomly generate a 70 number string to add to posts, then you'd be in good shape.
As is supporting browsers provide a rand string with each post, so we don't have to worry about variety of dice.
As it stands I think that you could add your own 70 digit rand code, or have one of the admins edit the post (and therefore include the rand string from our browser). Tough to say what the easiest solution is.

Unfortunately I cannot get to that site from my office, I'm pretty sure that KMan won't be able to either. They've got filters on our net traffic and it won't allow us to access certain types of sites. I for one will look at it tonight, it might work for some, but not for all. I don't see a hybrid of the two being a problem if it's legit, but that's really KMans call.

TTC, I don't understand your way. It just comes up as a link, and then when I clicked on it nothing happened. And who wants to go out of their way to go to other sites when it would be simple for the DM just to roll the dice for those who are unable. It saves a lot of time and added effort.

All right, fine. I'll just list dice and bonuses from now on- just like the old days.

You could always just download Firefox or something else and use that browser when you read the games which you're going to have to roll dice in. That's what I do since some people still like to roll their dice by themselves.
It's an option if you are able to. Not sure if you're FORCED to use IE for some unknown reason. I know a lot of school and office computers have been using Mozilla and Netscape and others instead of IE anyway, not just cause they want to roll dice on KMan's but cause those are much safer browsers than IE.

I still use IE too. I just go into something else when I have to post with dice. Otherwise I just list my numbers like back in the old days.
I blame windows automatic updates for this. They just couldn't stand the idea of letting us take the game back into our own hands.

Ok, I feel really really really foolish, but I can't seem to get the dice thing to work. I do not know what I am doing wrong, nor can I understand what the large string of numbers means.
Help please.

There should be a little Die icon at the end of the second string of buttons in the reply post--where picture, tables, quotes etc are.
Failing that, the code is literally;
dice=20 surrounded by []
Make sure it is in lowercase, or it will mess you up. Also, it doesn't seem to work with Internet Explorer, just FireFox, Safari and Netscape.
You can use any type of die by just changing the number after the =;
dice=6 surrounded by [] for a six-sider dice=8 surrounded by [] for an eight-sider etc.
Let me know if you need more help.
