Yay, the dice are back on IE. A little different looking, but at least I don't have to switch browsers anymore just to post. As fate would have it I prefer Firefox, apparently I'm the one that will now be required to switch in order to use the dice. Oh how the tables have turned.

I use Firefox at home, but most of my internetting is done from work, where IE is mandated.
So, yeah, get on yo' damn side of the table.

Why must IE compatability mandate Firefox brokenness?

Why must IE compatability mandate Firefox brokenness? Becouce Firefox is the best webrowser ever. And that IE sucks.

I'm not sure I can answer that one TTC. One way or another I think that ProBoards went through some changes in their coding. As of this week there are a few changes you've probably noticed. The biggest one that I've seen is how they put ads in the middle of threads now, instead of just at the top. In addition the dice codes are now working for IE browsers and are suddenly not for Firefox (can't speak to other browsers). Something changed in the way that these boards react to each browser so that IE dice work and Firefox (while still adding the rand string) will not display the dice graphic and result. Thanks proboards for mixing things up again! I'd be happy if they could make BOTH browsers work again, like they used to right after we added the dice functionality. Apparently that's too much to ask for.

I'm still sticking with Invisible Castle. I just like it.
Even if I could roll dice here, which I can't, I would still go with IC.

I like IC because, really, who knows... WAIIIIIIT. I may have found a way to break the system. Hold up.

Figured out how to plug in the correct random string, TTC?

Figured out how to plug in the correct random string, TTC? No, he did the same thing Cel did, made an image out of it. Here's the same "20" with some size modifications. Usually the dead give away is that the text in the die won't highlight--it highlights as a whole image.

Another dead giveaway is the fact that right now us firefox users can't see the dice. When he starts "rolling" natural 20s that we can see. It's not hard to follow.
Like K said though you're not the first to notice that you can post an image instead of the actual dice. You have to consider that we're trying to be honest with one another here. Much like you would around a table we're trusting one another with the dice we roll. If we can't be trusted, then the dice will be taken away and only the DMs will post them.
Let's hope that there hasn't been a renewed interest in cheating; I rather like the dice.

*shrug* It's an instinct I have. I see a system like that, I try to figure out how to break it- but I never take advantage of it.[rand=815560168282419547889075143552206820686189437002114712260551360484]

Yeah, i can see dice rolls in Internet Explorer now. Wierd. Firefox seems shagged.
Also, you can just endlessley delete your post until you get the right number. Though K Man can spot that in the Admin logs.
