I'm almost done with the champions results. But I'm going to be offline tomorow, so don't expect anything before Thursday. I might be a slow GM, but I'll try to keep you all informed. Maybe I can figure out how to make maps while sitting in a full day of meetings.

Status update: I've caught up with the Champions game results, I'll be working on this game next.
I've taken a quick look and only Gabe has an action posted. Please post what your character is doing so that I can process them tommorow (hopefully).

Status report: Ready to go. Well mostly, I still have to remake the map, but we don't need to wait for that. So the game resumes... I'll give the attack to Harknail, as before--he's the one with the weapon out, after all. I think he's already rolled the attack above, anyway. Harknail isn't in position to reach the last goblin, only Bharash is next to the goblin. I'll assume you give the extra action to Bharash. Athletics check @ +7 to act in water: Total: 22, plenty.] Indeed. Gabe has gotten his feet under him and is standing with his shoulders above water. With a Glaive, he has no problems (or penalties) to hit those on the ledge within reach. "Son of a-" Gabe goes splashing into the water, but is quick to recover. Grabbing the glaive and momentarily forgetting the boat's rope--these are calm waters after all--he jabs the weapon up at the goblin.Gabe gets his bearings and jobs at the Goblin. The jab was good enough to hit a civilian, but the goblin manages to twist and dodge the jab, retreating and hiding behind Bharash. OOC: Goblin Tactics, the goblin shifts between Bharash and the cavern wall. So from left to right we have Goblin, Bharash, boat. The Goblin does NOT actually have cover. Tags: Bharash Basic attack from Comanders Strike (actually on the previous turn) Doran Bharash Then the NPCs and Goblin can react.

As Gabe shouts to Bharash that the goblin is open he assails it with a flurry of blows with his staff as best he can.
[dice=20] +4
damage [dice=8] +2
Relying mainly only his natural strength then any real skill Bharash shows his inexperience with the staff that he normally spends more time leaning on then poking with.
Determined to show he can do better he redoubles his efforts and continues swinging
[dice=20] +4
damage [dice=8] +2
OOC: not sure about moves here. I suspect the Goblin will shift away after my first attack, in which case Bharash will move to the south of him so someone can flank from the other side. If the goblin stays adjacent Bharash will shift 1 square clockwise around him after this second hit.[rand=14669865679210447244254833227417876348451807064858685639101783469]

My bad, I forgot that difficult terrain prevents shifting. And the entire ledge is difficult terrain, not a good place for Goblins. The goblin did not shift and is still at the position shown on the map (between Bharash and the rest of the group). Bharash doesn't need to shift and also can't shift (unless using both standard and move actions combined to do so).
The second swing is a hit, though Doran's action will go first. Also, Harknail is still prone, so Doran can step over him without needing a skill check.

Oops, I neglected this for too long. Is that Doran's last action, or is it the next round?

Well, then Doran will try to move to hit the last goblin. Deft strike: [dice=20]+9=23 to hit. [dice=4]+5=8 to damage.

Doran moves up to a flanking position on the remaining Goblin. Doran hits, then Bharash hits leaving the goblin bloodied. Sanem designates the remaining goblin as his quarry, then uses Evasive Strike to shift past Doran and to a spot opposite the Goblin from Gabe. Acrobatics roll to pass Doran[dice=20]+9=29 Once in position, he attacked. [dice=20]+5+2=11, using Elven Precision for another roll at +2 [dice=20]+5+2+2=21 [dice=8][dice=8][dice=6]+2=14 The elves fancy maneuvers were successful and the goblin was cut down before it could sound alarm or return the attack. Meanwhile Harknail puts away his sword, detaching it from his hand, then carefully gets back to his feet. He looks around to see if anyone was hurt in the attack. "Yeah, they're not much for working in pairs only. We press on. Is someone going to check out that bag?" Gabe tries to get everyone back on track--and tries to get Sanem to tie off the boat again, but for real this time. There are places to go, goblin wizards to thwart.
Also, probably loot.

Doran will go over to check the bag, if someone will give him enough light not to fall down.

[As a quick notice, I will be out of town from Nov 15th-Nov 22nd. You can assume Gabe will want to press on in pursuit of the goblins and do lots of Commander's Strikes.]

"Wait friend." Bharash cautions Doran "The bag may well be a trick. Better you hold the light for me and I will create a hand of magical energies to carry the bag to us."
If agreed, Bharash will reapply the light spell to the rock and get Doran to hold it then send his mage hand to pick the bag up and carry it to them.
Assuming they will also at least take a short rest to search the goblins before continuing Bharash examines then curiously to see if they are an adapted race of aquatic goblins or just fools who were holding their breath.

The group takes a short break while they help Gabe back out of the water, examine the fallen goblins, and check out the bag. Meanwhile Harknail stands watch at the edge of the light. He can't see into the darkness, but any attack will have to get by him (it?) before reaching the others.
Bharash sees no obvious aquatic adaptations on the goblins, they look like normal goblins to him.
The bag contains an assortment of empty (or at least nearly empty) glass vials and a piece of parchment that looks like it was torn from a book.

Bharash inquisitively inspects the vials to see what they may have contained [arcana +8 if needed] and also inspects the parchment

OOC: I posted this earlier this morning, but it seems to have gotten lost. Here we go again...
When Bharash inspects the vials he sees that carefully (if crudely) labeled vials contained alchemical components, enough for a major ritual if they were full. As it is, there is enough material left for several minor rituals. Bharash estimates that there is about 40 GP in alchemical components here.
As for the page, it is handwritten, but not by the same hand that labeled the bottles. The very precise writing details a type of magic mirror that reflects the light of a full moon regardless of weather or phase of the moon. Such a mirror would be a constant source of bright light, similar to a sunrod but without the limits of duration. From the description it looks like such a mirror would be too large and awkward to be of much use to a group of adventurers, but it would obviously work well to provide constant illumination at a fixed location.

"Oh, interesting!" Bharash exclaims excitedly "these are all arcane reagents. Someone has used some, hopefully for nothing too devious. I have been researching what can be done with such things. Hopefully these few remnants will help me unlock magical power." showing the page of writing he points out that "This is information about the Mirror I saw stolen from the lighthouse. The fact these things have been dropped shows those we follow must be panicked by us chasing them."
"If we have gathered everything useful from these goblins lets press on along this path. Hopefully we can catch up with the goblin mage and the rest of the goblins we seek."
