Thursagan will follow the suggestion of Gabe, and he will walk in front of the group once we leave the area. OOC: What is the light condition on the tunnels? OOC2: Should we start a new thread once we get moving? OOC: Low light unless noted otherwise, except where the group brings their own bright light
OOC2: Yes, I'll be starting a new thread. I've figured out roughly what the rest of the encounters are, but I need to find an appropriate map for the next interesting area. From there you will have a choice of directions...

ooc: a little late--no internet over the weekend. By the way, should we start a new thread? This one is getting long. Doran freezes. "What was that?" Suspiciously: "Did we just sell our souls or something?" Doran is still interested in getting that dagger. What will it take?

Doran has the dagger (no rolls needed for that, the hard part was the glowing egg you guys weren't supposed to be able to get . He climbed up and pulled it out of the stone while the others were looking at the glowing egg. It pulled out of the stone as easily as pulling it out of a sheath, and the edge still looks good even after being driven into stone. I'm waiting to hear if Doran is tucking it away and trying to keep it secret from the others that he has it, or if he's waving it around and tossing it to try and figure out exactly what he has.

OOC: I have a map selected and monsters picked. Now I just need time to modify the map (add location identifiers and remove unwanted elements), add the characters and monsters to the map, and prepare my combat tracking document. I hope to have that done by tomorrow evening. Meanwhile I can answer any questions about the general setting.
OOC: As for what you guys are chasing, the ship ran afoul of rocks because the lighthouse isn't working. The lighthouse isn't working because goblins stole the magic mirror that provides the light. The group is chasing after the goblins that stole the mirror. Along the way the group found some evidence that the goblins have recently cast a powerful ritual, perhaps something like animating every dead body in a graveyard. I imagine you'd like to catch the goblin responsible for that as well.
OOC: Any other questions?

Ah, got it. I see the post.Doran will take a moment to clean the dagger off unobtrusively, inspect it for distinguishing characteristics, and, if no one makes a scene over it, slip it into one of his sheaths for use later. That way, he can pass it off as if he didn't think anyone else was interested in it if someone objects. He is, however, just asking for trouble if this thing is cursed.

Doran concludes that the dagger must be magical to have survived being thrust into solid stone like that and not be ruined. He is unable to determine what daily power (if any) or other properties that the dagger has from his brief examination. However, he has heard that any magical dagger will return to the users hand when thrown. OOC: Let me know when Doran uses this dagger
