OOC: I am not sure on how you want to handle the change of character, I don't have a problem to finish this scene with Sanem if that is easier. Sanem will use a minor action to declare the rat 3 as his quarry, and will use twin strike at it. [dice=20]+6 = 25 vs. AC [dice=20]+6 = 19 vs. AC Damage: Bow [dice=10] [dice=10] Quarry [dice=6] Apply the quarry damage on the first hit that impact
In case that that rat is dead by the time Sanem has his turn, he will target rat 4 instead (tell me if it has cover by that time as he may want to move then)[rand=964279387146234504210081230849027652700138185173275471901092678308]

OOC: I'm just running actions in the order received. That way we don't need "if my target is dead" alternates IC: Sanem launched two arrows at the rat that Harknail had battered (grey 3). Both arrows hit their marks leaving the rat alive, but just barely.

Hearing more creatures coming from the right Bharash sneaks up next to Doran (I3) so he can get a better look at who was coming. Bharash sees what he likes to see. 6 opponents ready to be blasted. Bharash assaults them with acid and ice trying to whittle down their number. Standard action: Bharash casts icy terrain centered at G7 to hit 4: [dice=20] to hit 2: [dice=20] to hit 5: [dice=20] to hit 1: [dice=20] +3 vs ref
any that are hit take [dice=6] +3 ice damage and are knocked prone.
also the squares F6 to H8 are considered difficult terrain until the end of Bharashs next turn.
Minor Action: Acid Dragon Breath starting at H4 and spreading 5 squares West and South taking in 1,2,3,4, purple 5 and red 5 (who has cover)
to hit 1: [dice=20] to hit 2: [dice=20] to hit 3: [dice=20] to hit 4: [dice=20] to hit p5: [dice=20] to hit r5: [dice=20] +5 vs ref
those hit take: [dice=6] +3 acid damage
OOC: hmm messy but looks like lots of misses
OOC: Merry Christmas[rand=433232280740212810858351271361505847170367592331812296932048008896]

The Icy Terrain didn't damage any of the creatures in the area, but they will be slowed (which may reduce the damage from the blue goblins attack :-)).
The dragon breath hit the injured rat (grey 3), which is just barely alive after having acid added to it's wounds. It also hit one of the approaching goblins (purple 5). It missed the one behind cover because of the cover.
I'll wait another day or two for Gabe to have a chance to post. If I haven't seen anything by then I'll come up with something for Gabe to do and then do the goblins attacks.

I was waiting for an action for Gabe. Now I'm waiting to have enough time to run all the goblins (it's been a busy week for me).

Gabe uses his long Glaive to make an opening for Harknail to attack the badly injured rat. Harknail takes advantage of the opertunity. [dice=20]+6=24[dice=8]+3+4=14 The result is one very dead rat.[rand=8800366823561497765272469259799093445162288844595328433196991682]

The Goblin Sharpshooters (Red 5&6) launch more bolts at Doran and Harknail. The bolt aimed at Doran bounced harmlessly off his armor, but the bold aimed at Harknail found a gap in the metal plates that made up his outer skin. A small dribble of some arcane fluid starting oozing down the shaft (Harknail hit for 7 HP).
The rat (Gray 4) wanted something tastier than a construct to gnaw on, so it moved to the side (shift to G6) and then charged Doran (ending in G4). Daran easily dodges the bite of the 5 foot long rat.
The approaching Goblin Solders, after seeing the carnage that the heros could cause at melee range decided to keep their distance and use their javelins.
One of them (Blue 2) retreated down the tunnel in front of the heros (to C5) before launching his javelin at Harknail. The javelin clanged loudly but harmlessly against Harknail's chest plate. The other (Blue 1) backed up the way he came (to H12) before launching his javelin at Doran. This one was a solid hit (did 6 points damage), doing extra damage from the goblins windup (gets +1d6 for moving 4 squares, rolled 1).
The last goblin (purple 5) staid were he was. Unlike the other two goblins with him, this one had only a short sword, no javelins.

Gabe moves forward (to I5) then uses Commander's Strike to give Doran a basic attack with +4 damage vs. the Rat before Doran takes the rest of his turn.
OOC: Don't expect Gabe to be offering any advice as to how we should deal with a situation. Until/unless I get another player for Gabe, he'll mostly just be using Commander's Strike a lot.

Status update: Gabe is down to 13 of 22 HP Harknail is down to 6 of 31 HP All goblins and rats are uninjured except for Purple 5 (who is injured) Current Map: Sorry for how long it took me to get this turn done. I'll try to do better. If anyone knows of someone who would like to play a Tiefling Warlord or an Elven Ranger, let me know!

With the big rat getting quite close Bharash tries to help Doran kill it by setting off a burst of fire behind it. Hopefully it would catch the goblin behind the pillar too. Origin square F3 to hit r5 [dice=20] +3 vs ref
to hit g4 [dice=20] +3 vs ref
damage [dice=6] +3=6 fire damage

OOC: I can still play Sanem, when this encounter is done we can decide how to continue Sanem has seen the weak side of the rat, and with a sharp shout he signal it as his quarry. Seeing an opening between Harknail and Gabe he shoots two arrows towards the rat on G4: First attack: [dice=20]+6 = 12 vs. AC Damage [dice=10] Second attack: [dice=20]+6 = 7 vs. AC Damage [dice=10] Hunter's quarry (if any attack impacts, that is unlikely): [dice=6]

Doran takes Gabe's commander's strike on the rat: [dice=20]+3 [dice=4]+3
giving 11 to hit and 6 to damage, plus any bonus Gabe gives. I don't think Doran hit rat #4. Where are we in the turn order?[rand=352675394099366437951604409397306090293560998780286850993913867922]

Right, Doran's turn. Doran will try a Riposte Strike on Grey 4: [dice=20]+5 [dice=4]+5
13 to hit, 8 to damage (been sucking it up lately). Whether the rat lives or dies, shift to G3. Need to get flanking.[rand=36197636446404224977603883486279600504478370708272306140648935370563]

OOC: I can still play Sanem, when this encounter is done we can decide how to continue OOC: You'll be able to change characters at that time, sooner if some other new player would like to play an Elf Ranger. Your new character is already coming up the corridor heading for the sounds of a fight. Sanem has seen the weak side of the rat, and with a sharp shout he signal it as his quarry. Seeing an opening between Harknail and Gabe he shoots two arrows towards the rat on G4: Unfortunately both shots went wide, hitting the stone pillar behind what Sanem could recognize as a Dire Rat.
