Since White 5 got destroyed and Howy was acting last, can he change his action? OOC: Of course, I was waiting for a repost. Unfortunately he missed

Gabe moves north and strikes at one of the skeletons wielding a bow. The skeleton (grey 4), which was just barely holding together, falls apart at the touch of his glaive. Gabe can see that the archers are also armed with long swords.

Bharash moves forward to E12 counting the slime as difficult terrain. Noticing it must be hard for the others to the north to see he will create a magical light centered at J10 He will then create a scorching burst centered at E18 to hit white 2: [dice=20] +3=14 vs ref
to hit grey 0: [dice=20] +3=8 vs ref
damage [dice=6] +3=4 fire damage

The remaining skeleton guard wanted to return to the entrance to stop anyone else from entering, but it couldn't ignore Harknail's divine challenge. White 2 | [dice=20] | +10=29 | [dice=8] | +2=6 |
It managed to find a weak spot in the constructs armor. Harknail found more archers, the hard way while the easter archers focused on Gabe. Two of the western archers fired at Bharash (all that had a clear shot at him), the rest at Harknail. Grey 1 | Harknail | [dice=20] | +6=19 | Grey 2 | Harknail | [dice=20] | +6=11 | Grey 3 | Gabe | [dice=20] | +6=12 | Grey 5 | Gabe | [dice=20] | +6=16 | Grey 6 | Harknail | [dice=20] | +6=21 | Grey 7 | Harknail | [dice=20] | +6=11 | Grey 8 | Gabe | [dice=20] | +6=12 | Grey 9 | Bharash | [dice=20] | +6=18 | Grey 0 | Bharash | [dice=20] | +6=16 | Grey $ | Harknail | [dice=20] | +6=18 |
All three missed Gabe and only one hit Harknail (for 3 points), but both aiming for him hit Bharash (for 6 points) [rand=94622472254559419891922920942307235486879479140048279852485284209]

The ledge with archers on it is 10' high with no easy way up. The walls are rough and are only DC 10 to climb except where slimy. Slime covered walls are DC20 to climb. The cavern itself is 20' high (mostly).

Sanem yet again launches two arrows at W2 (Twin Strike) and designates the same target as HQ. Arrow 1: Arrow 2: OOC: No damage needed. [rand=12524988073665488369784024087497982880027893550498957497196103914]

Thursagan will move to N10 via L11 and M11, and he will make a melee basic attack against grey 3 [dice=20]
OK, my luck is over, I shouldn't have spoken He still marks it Thursagan's Combat Status Health: HP 25/31 - Surges 11/12 - Action Points 0/1 Encounter Powers: Passing attack 0/1 - Second wind 0/1 Daily Powers: Villian's menace 1/1
Thursagan's "group bonuses" When Thursagan marks and engages a target, that target will normally stay in place and focus on him

Doran will move to E18, crossing over that little corner of no slime between 16 and 17, and then shift to D18. White 2 is now flanked. Have a nice day. By the way, those of you who are using tables and status lines, are you just writing all of that out, or is there some easy way to do it?

Gabe grins, "I prefer it when they just need a good shove." he turns and charges towards another skeleton. Charges to M7 and strikes at Grey 5. (Edit: had M6 which is the wall) Charge & Melee Basic Attack (Glaive) If hit: 2d4+3 [dice=4] | [dice=4] | +3= | 10 damage |
Gabe's Combat Status Gabe's Health: HP 19/22 - Surges 7/7 - Action Points 1/1 Encounter Powers: Infernal Wrath 1/1, Inspiring Word 2/2, Warlord's Favor 1/1 Daily Powers: Lead the Attack 1/1
Gabe's Group Bonuses Any ally within 10 squares that can see and hear me gains +2 to initiative. Any ally who can see me spending an action point to attack gains +2 to hit & +4 to damage OOC: I've written all the tables and lines out manually, but have a text document with them all written down in so just copy and paste each time now. Have all my at-wills done so far. BTW if you want to see/steal any formatting easiest way is just to hit the quote button, copy the text then cancel the reply.[rand=758590723830634973680154704727108130930954992865056207775710420016]

OOC: I had to look twice to realize that you were just moving into flanking position, not attacking. I've been using the buttons at the top to create the tables. For Skeleton turns I've by copying the previous turn and updating it. Which means I might miss updating something, so if something doesn't look right, let me know

Gabe grins, "I prefer it when they just need a good shove." he turns and charges towards another skeleton./quote] Another skeleton crumbles from contact with Gabe's Glaive. OOC: The skeleton had cover from being around a hard corner in melee combat, but Gabe hit him anyway easily.

OOC: Just reread up on cover before I posted and how I read the determining cover para on PHB280 is that if I pick the common corner then no lines are blocked and hence no cover. I think it makes sense to give a bit of cover bonus but the rules don't seem to support that unless I'm missing something.. again OOC: It's not that your missing something, it's that I'm using the advanced cover rules from the DM's Guide (DMG43). Ranged and area attacks are the same, but it's much easier to get cover from melee attacks. You trace a line from every corner of an attackers square to every corner of a defenders square and have cover if any of those lines are blocked.
OOC: So when attacking around a corner, you have cover from melee attacks but not ranged attacks. Otherwise it would be nearly impossible to have partial cover from melee attacks. I think this rule makes the game more interesting and fun, so I use it. In practice it usually comes down to "Hard corners provide cover vs. melee attacks".
OOC: I'm glad you brought it up so that I can explain the optional rule I'm using. And I'm especially glad that it didn't affect the blow when it first came up.

OOC: Either way is fine with me. I don't mind waiting. In fact I've been surprised how fast this game is running and wondering how long I can maintain this pace. I may have to slow down some now that I'm not going to be in so many long boring meetings...
