20*20*6*6=14400, so a 1 in 14400 chance of that particular set of rolls. However, you probably would have said the same thing if it had bean any pair of repeated rolls, which would be 20*6=120, so one out of every 120 such pairs of rolls would come out identical. Basically, it had to happen some time. Thanks for the analysis. My point here is that I had trouble with the post, and that may have tampered the results.
I think I will feel better if I roll them again, so here they go: Attack: (I didn't add bonus from Gabe because I think I am out of range / sight, right?) Damage: Oh, no. You just threw the universe out of balance. You broke away from your destiny!

As goblin aqua 4 dies, Laira Elereth forms into mist and reappears at L19 (with concealment). She then runs to H18, curses goblin aqua 5 and casts eyebite at him. Laira's eyebite hits 20 vs will for 13 damage and granting her invisibility to him. [dice=20]+5+1=20 damage [dice=6]+[dice=6]+4=13 1. This involves a diagonal move from I19 to H18. 2. Laira provokes an attack of opportunity from goblin aqua 6 who is marked by Thursagan. 3. Do you lose 2 squares of movement to gain 2 squares of elevation? Diagonal doesn't cost extra movement now, so I would say diagonal upwards wouldn't either

It wasn't so much the diagonal move but whether the rock is blocking movement between those two squares.

Gabe disappointed that his throw was so inaccurate swaps back to melee. He stabs upwards hoping to skewer the pesky goblin with his Glaive. Between the cover from the ledge and the concealment from the Freezing Cloud, Gabe just barely hit the Hexer, but hit him he did leaving the Hexer bloodied.

Zynthis will take a step to the south to N19, attacks Blue 4 with Priest's Shield shielding me and Thursagan. Will also use my Devine Fortune here. Zynthis finishes off the surrounded goblin (blue 4). Laira gets a teleport, as assumed in her move :-)

Zack moves to M18, chanting as he goes. Again, he shifts his grip on his staff, such that he is holding it in a two handed grip by the very end, while a visible atmospheric disturbance forms around the tip. Reaching the spot, he swings. And now the air is shattered by the force of Zachary's blow. Thunderwave, from L17 to J14: The Ice cracks and heaves, but the Frost Goblin Cutter seems at home on the ice and isn't bothered by the ice waves. When it settles down there are cracks, but the chunks are still large enough to be slick and make moving difficult. ...Aw, I think mighty Zachary has struck out... I would also like to point out that Zachary's AC is 21, but can be boosted to 22, 25, or 26 by Staff of Defence and Shield, should one of these buggers hit him, and Shield is good against all attacks until his next turn. Good point. If you have some general guidelines as to when you want those powers used, post them and I'll add them to the character status. The way I play it, you know how much you would be hit by, but not how much damage is involved, when you decide to activate either of those powers. So is there any situation where Zynthis would be hit where you don't want to use this power (such as being hit by a minion). Since this is near the end of the fight, I'll assume you use one anytime it would avoid a hit.
The same applies to Bharash.http

It is strange that both dice rolls are the same. I have some troubles posting, so that may have messed up the dice. I can repeat the charge attack, the important point is to be in that position with the goblin marked after the action point. It's just the dice roller playing with your head. While you can lose rolls or accidentally change rolls, there is no way for you to duplicate rolls other than sheer luck. But the dice roller gave you two crits against a foe that was already dead. :-(
You'll need to post a new action for Thursagan. Sorry I wasn't able to keep up during the day today.

Bharashs zealous charge toward the hexer slows to a laboured trudge with the shifting of the goblins cloud (moves to G8). It does not stop him making yet more fire spring up around the cloud controller though. Bharash wasn't sure, but he though that maybe the goblin was melting a bit from the flames. (it was a hit) Bharash also gestures to Sart to move away from the hill. Sart can't see the gesture since she can't see (or be seen by) anyone at the top of the hill. "Does anyone know the goblin for 'move away from the dragonborn or you will get a face full of acid'?" Bharash cries The goblin answers, "That would be <Stay away from snout nose or he'll puke on you.>"

Persephone is greatly encouraged by Gabe's battle cry, and pulls herself up and ready to continue the fight; meanwhile Sanem runs for better position (to U19). Move action, Persephone is up to 12 hpSanem takes aim on the Goblin tormenting his friend: I guess with the -4 penalty I hit at most once. So, with the hunters quarry bonus damage applied to the second damage column, I would do 7pts Damage Sanem launches a barrage of arrows at his fiends opponent. Despite being higher and concealed in the cloud, 3 out of the 4 arrows hit, leaving him bloodied. You called that one exactly right, and if both of the first shots missed, then the extra damage would have moved to one of the latter shots that did.

You'll need to post a new action for Thursagan. Sorry I wasn't able to keep up during the day today. When I got to Laira's action I saw a reference to Thursagan being on the other hill, so I took another look. His action as posted is fine, he just doesn't need to spend an action point to do it. I'll use the crit for the charge, and the reroll for the free hit that Laira provoked.

Laira's eyebite hits 20 vs will for 13 damage and granting her invisibility to him. As Laira ran past the goblin that Thursagan had charged and bloodied in a single blow, the goblin tried to hit the lightly armored target (Laira) as it ran by. Thursagan took advantage of the goblins not focusing on him alone to finish off the goblin before it could hurt Laira. 1. This involves a diagonal move from I19 to H18. No problem2. Laira provokes an attack of opportunity from goblin aqua 6 who is marked by Thursagan. Good teamwork! Thanks for mentioning that, I went back and took a closer look at Thursagan's turn and saw that it didn't matter that his first target had died.3. Do you lose 2 squares of movement to gain 2 squares of elevation? When you teleport, you can do any combination of up to 3 squares up or down on the map, up to 3 squares left or right on the map, and an elevation change of up to 15 feet up or down. You do have to be able to see the square you're teleporting to, but it doesn't matter if it has cover or concealment as long as you can see it (total cover or superior concealment probably blocks line of sight). So you can go 3 squares diagonally north west and 15 feet (3 squares) down all in the same teleport.

Harknail finally gets to his feet. Very carefully he makes a Valiant Strike against the goblin next to him, striking it down.

The Frost Goblin Hexer moves away from the edge and turns his attention on Bharash, casting a Freezing Hex at the dragonborn mage. Perhaps the Endure Elements ritual was helping. Bharash felt the cold but not greatly (bad roll for him, 4 damage on 2d6+1). "You don't belong here," exclaimed the goblin, "We were changed by the cold just as the forest was changed. The land is ours now."
The Frost Goblin Sharpshooter was surprised to see the hawk revive. He started shifting around it and tried once again to cut it down, striking it a glancing blow (for 3 points).
The Frost Goblin Sharpshooter on the West hill was confused. Something had hit him, but he couldn't see what. But he could see the charging dwarf, so he fired at Thursagan and retreated. The bolt struck something he couldn't see and bounced off.
The bolt hit AC 25, which would have hit until I realized that Laira was providing Thursagan cover even though the goblin couldn't see her. So it bounced harmlessly off her a strong part of her armor instead of striking a weak part of Thrusagan's armor :-)

Sanem takes aim on the Goblin tormenting his friend yet again... Twin Strike | [dice=20] | +10 | 29 | [dice=20] | +10 | 25 |
Damage |
---|
[dice=10] | [dice=6] | +2 | 8 | [dice=10] | +2 | 10 |
18 total on two good shots! Little jerk better sit down! If it is still alive Persephone shifts to H10+1 square up. If dead I'll have to think... Edit: Added close spoiler tag[rand=972474016409787123897344564929568363814570971645164150246489474294]

I should have been more specific. I meant for when Laira used her normal movement to run up the next ridge. I was guessing that when you run up a slope where you gain 10 feet of elevation, you have to give up an additional 10 feet of movement.

The same applies to Bharash.http I'm thinking that I'm not going to be hit much. Do you realize you haven't targeted Zack with anything this entire encounter, let alone hit him? As a default, go ahead and use whichever will block the first attack that hists unless I say I'm saving them to do something crazy.

Oh, and can we get an update on the map, or at least a list of character/enemy coordinates? I don't know where anything is anymore.

Gaining 10 feet of elevation, through diagonal movement, (a 45degree slope) wouldn't cost extra movement (i am not the dm, this is how i've seen it go in the past). The slope is >45degrees, but it is also considered difficult terrain (iirc) So the slope square takes 2 movement.
