it's hidden in the line above the athletics check. 'Move: Climbs to M5 then moves to K4' Ah, missed it. Hit recorded. Gabe doesn't get the +2 bonus he gives others, but on the other hand I don't remember any penalty for attacking above you either. In any case hit with plenty to spare.

Sanem will continue his barrage of attacks against goblin 2: Persephone is rather badly wounded, if anyone can spare healing magics for her, but she will hold her position at the enemy goblin for now. Sanem will move to U6 (move of 7) via the imaginary V row of squares. The goblin falls from Sanem's barrage of arrows and does not get up again. Persephone has been spared further attacks from that source. Since the Goblin is now dead, does Persephone move when Sanem does?

I'm running Laira for MichaelLaira as a minor action will put her warlocks curse on blue #3, then move 6 to S14. She will then blast blue #3 with an Eyebite. The blast finishes off the Goblin, Laira can now teleport 3 squares.

Waiting for Zachary, Zynthis, Thursagan, Bharash, and Laira's teleport.
No rush, I probably won't get a chance to run the goblins till Saturday anyway.

Having disrupted the minion formation (noting that all goblins are now at least 20 ft apart), Zackary shifts his grip on his staff, slinging the but up under his right arm, and pointing the tip at Red 0. He barks a few arcane words, and a Magic Missile blasts out of the staff and streaks toward the target: [dice=20] | +8 | = 28 vs Reflex |
Dude!? Another crit on a minion?And another bites the dust. "Hey, I'm going to get you too!" to Red $. Zachary's Combat Status:

Do targets standing on ledges get the "hard corner" cover bonus from attackers on the ground? If we kind of turn the horizontal rules for cover on end, I can see how they would, though it depends on how tall a character's square is considered to be. Its not unreasonable to use five foot squares, since even bows and crossbows are fired from about that height, which would mean that standing on a five+ foot elevation would be equivalent to standing around the corner of a wall. Note: Area powers only need line of effect on the origin square, and determine cover from origin square rather than from the attacker. This would make the 3D burst 1 interpretation of Scorching Burst rather handy against targets with the high ground.

Thursagan nods to Zynthis for the healing, and moves to keep fighting. He will move to N19, and try a tide of iron on Blue 4: if it hits, he will push the goblin out of the legde, two squares to L17, with potential damage from the drop. Does he get a saving throw to avoid it? I am asking because I want Thursagan to shift to O19 as part of the tide of Iron. He is marked in any case Regarding the status, he is at 27/37 HP and 11/12 healing surges, with attacks damage totaling 27 (4+8+8+7) and healing for 17. Unfortunately its either me or the bird, and Sanem already moved. Persephone is in a decent position, people might choose to shoot her, but they could do that from almost anywhere.
Space pulsates around Laira, and one moment she is there, and then poof, she is gone. A split second later she reappears to the tinkling of ethereal chime of fey laughter in S17.
Laira has concealment from all foes (-2 to hit with range and melee) due to moving three squares and her Shadow Walk ability

This would make the 3D burst 1 interpretation of Scorching Burst rather handy against targets with the high ground. An excellent idea! That gives a consistent set of rules for handling corners. I like this, and will use this going forward (Gabe hit anyway). For simplicity, I'm going to say that any medium or small creature occupies a 5 foot cube regardless of their actual height.
Even though Scorching Burst is described as emitting from the ground, mages can still target those squares as long as they can see the top of the square they are targeting. Air bursts aren't appropriate here, if the mage can't see the targets on the ground, they don't know where in the air to set off their burst.
PS I've recorded Zachary's actions. Good job describing them, I have nothing to add :-)

The goblin is shoved backwards and instinctively drops to the ground to avoid going over the edge. If he had had time to think about it, he might have decided that falling would hurt less since this leaves him prone next to the mighty Dwarf. The goblin Saved. That means Thursagan can't advance.

I checked the rules for animal companions. When you spend a move action, either or both of you can move. She can also make one opportunity attack per round (with Sanem using an immediate Interrupt action).

As Bharash is shot at again it sends him into a rage. He wants revenge against these frost goblins!
Can he forego the heal to retain the +1 bonus to hit?
He points his staff at the goblin that hexed him earlier retaliating with golden fire scorching burst at grey 1
[dice=20] +12 vs ref=23
[dice=6] +4=7 fire damage
He then races round to the right of the hill trying to get closer and stay away from the archer on top ending at H3.

Don't forget to move Zynthis. He should be in R14.

Oh, in that case, I will move her!
Persephone swoops down low to get out of easy line of fire from the goblins, and moves to M4 and near to the ground, hopefully shielding her from the view, and potential attacks of the numerous goblins.

Can he forego the heal to retain the +1 bonus to hit? Yes he can simply not spend the healing surge. According to the rules the healing power would be wasted, but in a face to face game the players would be able to check with each other first. So I'll simply restore the damage and mark the healing power as still available when I have the time to do so (probably Saturday).

The Frost Goblin Hexer changes tactics with the Freezing cloud, summoning it up the hill in his direction. Bharash is obscured by the slope, but he has a clear view of the tiefling that had hurt him so badly. He hits Gabe with a freezing Hex (for 5 damage), leaving Gabe slowed (save ends). He then steps back into the concealment of the cloud (grey 1 has concealment). The first Frost Goblin Sharpshooter moves to the edge while staying in the concealing cloud. This gives him a clear view of the battle field, he selects Zynthis as his target. His bolt reaches it's mark (for 7 damage). The second and third Frost Goblin Sharpshooters simply lay were they fell. There was no necromancer around to reanimate their bodies. The fourth Frost Goblin Sharpshooter has little choice other than to stand up, draw his short sword, and try to attack Thursagan. Any attempt to open up the distance between them would simply give Thursagan an opportunity to cut him down as he retreated. He managed to actually hit the dwarf with a solid blow (for 8 damage), not quite enough to bloody Thursagan again. The fifth Frost Goblin Sharpshooter moved a little closer, the tried to offer support for his beleaguered comrade by firing a bolt at Thursagan. The goblin frowned as his shot was deflected by magical protection (Shield of Faith strikes again). The sixth Frost Goblin Sharpshooter stayed were he was and also fired at Thursagan. He had better luck, his bolt getting past the magical defenses (for 8 points), leaving the dwarf bloodied once again. The last of the Frost Goblin Cutters smiled as he drew his short sword and approached the prone Harknail. He easily hit the prone construct (for 3 points).
