Stravanya whispers to Zem "I think we should attract its attention so that we don't have to waste our first attack just getting to him"

( hey dm i was thinking our group would have been bit more not grouped up kike we are currently. Its kinda hard to stealth with a cluster of us all in the same spot. )
Zem nods. " We need something to get it in close, tho im not sure what that is. I do know we can piss it off maybe but tgat is not much of a plan. We also need to cut off its attempt to flee.
I would say make a kill box given the land we have, but no way can we get to places fast enough.
Any ideas?"

I placed the character grouped tightly together because you were all gathered around the tree that Orva was hiding in, and that Barbatos is currently hovering in. It's far enough away that you can get to other positions before it reaches the group.
Harknail offers, "I can go out and get its attention. How close do you want it?"

Shield raised high, Harknail leaves the cover the trees and strides out into the open, offering himself as bait for the Owlbear.
As the Owlbear approaches, you now discover the source of the awful racket that has been plaguing you for the last few minutes. As the Owlbear clines over a pile of rubble. It scrapes its razor-sharp talons against the rocks, producing a dreadful, high-pitched sound that immediately puts you on edge. Catching sight of Harknail, the Owlbear rears up on its hind legs and bellows angrily; in a few moments, its full-throated roar reaches an awful, shrieking crescendo. After its display of dominance, it charges Harknail.
Attack: O|1|hW6Xp_1-20+12+1(charge) =19
Prepared for the attack (Full Defense), Harknail easily catches the claws with his shield.1-20

Flerx squeaks, and starts climbing up a tree (different tree than Orva). Once she's a bit over the ground, she pauses, declares the Owlbear as her Quarry, and launches a Flying Steel attack. Attack: PkfcDekpp_1-20+12=27 vs AC
Flerx since the first arrow winging towards the Owlbear, with the promise of plenty more to follow it.
OOC: 23 damage and unless the Owlbear has cover from her, she will get a basic ranged attack against it at the end of its turn.
She then send her Iron Cobra angling off, then charging the Owlbear from a different direction to work on surrounding it and to set up for Stravanya to be able to flank the Owlbear. The snake construct attempts to take a bite out of the large creature. Attack: p_1-20+11 =20 vs. AC (miss)

Stravanya moves forward, and flanking with the Iron Cobra, lands two telling blows as only she can.
Over the din of battle, the group hears a strange sound, almost like a mixture of hissing and clucking. It almost sounds like an angry chicken is lurking behind some nearby rocks.

Sorry, saw this when it was posted, but forgot about it when I had time to run the turn Barbatos hit's the Owlbear with both magical attacks, leaving it bloodied. [tags Zem]

Zem's player has had his computer die, and he can no longer access his character. I'll be bringing him a hard copy of his character for him to use next time we see each other, but that won't happen till Friday. So the game is on hold till next weekend.

Zem sent a brilliant ray of light at the owlbear, which the creature wasn't quite able to avoid. Sparkles of light linger around guiding Stravanya's next attack.
Since no one spoke up, I gave the bonus to Stravanya since she hits hardest.
