Orva responded, "Well, I haven't actually seen a live one before, but I have read up about them. And I did have a chance once to make the petrification antidote. I don't know if it will work on the construct, but it seemed worth a try. But the main ingredient is cockatrice feathers, and those have already been plucked."

"I would be interesting in seeing the recipe myself. I have the feathers here, what other ingredients would be needed?"

Orva, "Very little actually, just dirt and water." Orva shows Barabbas how to make an antidote 2 cockatrice petrification from its feathers, dirt, and water. As they mix the feathers into the mud, she explains the process and warns that it only makes enough to save one creature, and that it must be applied within 24 hours.
Soon they are ready to try there concoction on the Iron Cobra. Flerx comes to watch and possibly assist. The muddy feathers need to be spread over the petrified subject The problem is that the outside of the Iron Cobra is still steel plates, not stone. Only the innards of the Iron Cobra were petrified. Fortunately, there have to be gaps at the joints to allow movement, and a snake is more or less all joints. Reaching through the gaps, Orva and Flerx smear the mud on as much of the petrified core as they can reach. Barbatos's arms are thicker, limiting how much he can help here. The 2 small humanoids apply the mud as best they can, but they can't reach everywhere. So all he can do is cross their fingers and hope that it was enough.
Flerx lets out a sigh of relief as the Iron Cobra begins moving again. A few moments later it slithers over to the kenku wing mage and chomps onto his body. Flerx snickers as she realizes that the Iron Cobra was still following the last command she'd given it, to attack the kenku wing mage.

Zem like Flerx laughs/snikers trying to hold it in when the cobra bits the kenku. Tho he is happy Flerx work was not stone anymore. He is also impressed that it fallowed the comand even after being stone all that time.
" Thats really cool it worked and all. Hey at least it fallows your exact commands even after its petrified. Even while it was stone I bet it was if it could thinking/dreaming if i ever move i'm sinking my jaws into that black feathered jerk kenku.
At least next time we face these things Barbados knows how to make the cure so that is a relief. Tho um we need to be sure if we face more not to destroy the feathers in the fight. "

Zem then makes it to where Harknail is.
Hey buddy um lets go over hear away from the others.
Still in sight of camp and just within earshot if they yelled :
" Hark i think kord has possibly abondond me, why else would he let me almost turn to stone? Let me forget about the owlbear not actually being dead? Then let me let you kill an enemy already being on the... he stops mid sentence " sorry hark i came over and out here to actually make sure your doing ok about the fight. We are not focusing on me right now. I know you did what you had to do. If anything im my book you did the right thing. I know that must not have been easy and i wanted to see how you emotionally were holding up. "

Harknail responded, "We be following Kord's commands in this fight. But Kord not be able to protect us from danger. That beeth up to us to survive while we may. When we fall, if we hath done well, we will joineth Kord. But it beeth not Kord that keepeth thou from becoming stone, but Zem. When creatures falleth, they beeth not always dead. Some dieth slowly. Rarely one revivath. Usually it be not an issue. Today it beeth important."
He continued, "I beeth fine about the fight. All my allies be safe. All my foes be vanquished. We hath won glory for defeating a menace."

" We might need to talk to the elfs first there might be a second owlbear. Also to Let them the kenku in the area were robbing people not helping slay the owlbear like they were thinking nor were they dead until we got them. As much as i love it out here i could use a bit of civilization right now. Tho there maybe loot in said locations. Probably the kenku camp given there was no loot inside owlbear."

Flerx looks for kenku tracks and finds that they've been all over this area. Still, master tracker that she is, Flerx has no problem tracking them back to their camp.
Orva accompanies them, feeling very grateful to the group for saving her. She offers to improve the enchantment on Stravana's sword (from +1 to +2) if the group will accompany her back to her home in the feywild. It's more a mater of that's where her supplies to do enchantments are rather then that she wants protection on the way home. Not that she wouldn't be happy to be in the company of such strong protectors!
OOC: camp details to follow....

On the way to the camp, the group passes a statue of a kenku. The statue is very detailed. It appears that the kenku had not captured the cockatrice without cost.
At the camp was much less treasure than expected. A couple of gems (worth 100 GP each), a bag with 8 lbs of gold (400 GP), and a short sword. Flerx looks over the short sword and declares it to be a Goblin Totem sword, like the ones she already carries, but more powerful. If no one objects, she would like to keep it.
She explains that Goblin Totem weapons do extra damage when attacking creatures bigger than you are. So anyone in the group would have gotten the extra damage using such a weapon against the Owlbear, but only Flerx would get that extra damage against the kenku. And even she wouldn't have gotten the extra damage against the cockatrice.

Barbatos asks, "can you tell by the tracks and camps if there were more Kenku here?"

Flerx looks over the area again before answering, "I can't tell for sure, they spent a lot of time in this area. But the tracks are consistent with how many kenku we've seen. There might be more, but I don't think more than 1 or 2 more. But more likely we got them all."
